Put me on the list...when we weren't getting Jimbo or Herman, I was fine giving O a chance...and guess what? He gave us the best season ever...

I always support whoever we hire. It was nice being national champions again. You seem miserable

I was willing to give him a shot. He has always been an elite recruiter and he did well as an interim head coach. He had good assistant coaches and seemed eager to work hard to stabilize the program.

After 2019 the assistant coaches have gone down and Orgeron doesn’t seem nearly as hungry. He also doesn’t seem to have the ability to right the ship.

It’s time for a change.

you are an idiot, if Orgeron never happened then 2109 may have never happened. Does he deserve to be let go at this point, yes.

I was convinced Jimbo was coming here and I was for it.

I was ok with O, so what? Herman was not coming here, he wanted Texas. Jimbo should have been hired the year before, but someone at LSU got cold feet and ruined the party. Jimbo may have had some reluctance after that and besides Aggie opened up Fort Knox. That left O. Yeah, he was crap at Ole Miss, but he did well during his short time at USC. Easy to forget a lot of people wanted him to get the permanent job at USC. We got a championship in 2019, best team ever. I don't remember anyone unhappy with O at that time and that title justified his hiring!
Easy to critize him now, but anyone that would trade away that championship for the last two seasons is FOS!
I will not shy away from the fact I was happy with the O hire and those that did should not be bullied either. O will be gone soon enough, he lost his mojo, but let's not forget the program was stale under Miles, O turned up the heat but then let the pilot go out...it happens in coaching.

Nobody wanted coach O from what I remember. Bit he became the head coach so most everyone suppoorted him. He did well until he lost the team bc of voices like Ryan Clark and the blm shite in 2020 spring. He has allowed team to fall apart. I was rooting for him until the 2nd loss this year. He has not made the improvements 9r hires he promised and his pay does not equal what is happening on the field.he has lost me and most of team from the looks of things from the outside

I was ok with it given the combination of circumstances. Ideally the change would have occurred a year before, which surely would have resulted in a different HC.

Im ready to move on from O but don’t dislike him, and grateful for the 2019 season he presided over

I sure as hell wasn't but once he won the NC I was willing to give him a chance. That chance dissipated quickly. That said, he pretty much validated any and all criticisms I had of him up until that point if not more.

He's the luckiest HC to ever win a NC in NCAA and it's probably not close?

O wasn't my first choice, but I did want him over Tom Herman.

Does “cautiously optimistic” count?

I mean I wanted Herman but I definitely was not in the camp of miserable posters who panicked and bitched about O before he had a chance to do anything.

Yes the O hire has come to an awful end but whether you like him or not, he put together arguably the greatest college football team ever assembled. I know it was Burrow, Brady, and Aranda that really elevated that team and I know most of O’s hires were atrocious but that season he got it right.

I don’t think most coaches sign Burrow (almost no one offered burrow as a transfer) and absolutely no one was trying to hire Joe Brady.

I’ll reiterate that O’s time is rightfully over but his failures since 2019 don’t prove those who were vehemently against his hire in the beginning right.

2019 happened and O pushed multiple buttons to make that happen. He’s just pushed every wrong button since and completely lost sight of what made them successful to begin with. Success was O’s downfall because he couldn’t stop trying to make things exactly as they were in 2019 instead of trying to move forward.

I didn't really support Ed himself but I bought into his "I'm gonna hire the best coordinators" schtick. I accepted that arrangement could work so long as Orgeron kept his paws off of the offense/defense. Was willing to give it a shot.

It's gone tits up now, but I gotta admit the NC was an unexpected surprise. Did not see him being able to get over that hump.

I thought O was a hire of convenience but I admit I kinda liked the “geaux tigahs” after the halftime interview. I thought “tell the truth Monday” etc. sounded neat and he seemed to answer questions head-on. A new sound. But now it all sounds a bit childish and a big todo about nothing like ripping his shirt off on television.
Not sure what category all that puts me in but I am ready for a new direction

I supported Les getting the axe. I wasn't thrilled with the O hire but I supported him as I would any LSU coach until they prove why I shouldn't. That point was reached last season. Time for O to hit the bricks.
