It’s true that beef is very resource-intensive - lots of land, feed and water required to produce a pound of beef, much more than other kinds of meat.
I’m not a big meat eater myself, mostly chicken, occasional pork or beef. I prefer seafood. But it would never occur to me to tell a grown arse adult what they can and cannot eat. Or manipulate prices so they make the same food choices I do.
If we’re going to treat adults like toddlers, do they get a cookie if they don’t finish their steak?

Bought half of a heifer last February. Awfully nice to just walk out to the freezer vs getting sticker shock at the grocery store.

You can't price me out if I raise my own...

A tip, don’t call it a hobby

Whats the best way to go about finding a source for buying half or a whole cow from a rancher in my area? I seriously have wanted to do this and have a deep freezer ready to go.

It’s so sad though, mate

That is only because they see Uncle Vijay everytime they see cattle

Wait until left imposes a $500 per head per year carbon tax on cattle.
It’s coming.
It’s coming.

Is that Brian Laundrie?

That's why they started all this veggie-meat BS.
It's supposedly due to cow farts though.

They absolutely can get to you, and trust me, that’s their end goal. It may be years down the line, but it’s coming if people don’t do anything to stop it

Cattle ranchers will have to have 24 hour armed security if it keeps going like this.

They want us to eat fake meat. A steady diet of soy will turn us into cucks just like the liberals.

Didn't work out for Zimbabwe as their leader was begging the farmers to come back and grow the food because his nation is now starving. Same will happen in South Africa as well.

The Marxists want all this extra money you make in their pockets. They want to kill all the industries you spend your extra money on like Cars, Steaks, private homes and blame it on "it's for the good of the environment". Then tax the shite out of you to take in that spare money you would have used on nice things. Some of that money will go to buy off those industries our gov't shite on and the rest will go in their pockets. They are "shrinking" the economy on purpose. They will still get their money while the rest of us live like peasants attached to their Matrix. Soon, the only way out will be "under ground".

I don't see this happening long-term because if they effectively cut off red meat, then on average a shite ton of people that have high cholesterol will go down and thusly, heart disease/attacks and the like will shoot way down. People will live longer and therefore soak up more ss benefits and healthcare resources. Just my $0.16.

beef prices for the ranchers have not increased much.
its the packers now where the price spike is happening.
