There's a Mu variant out there right now, but I haven't really paid attention much to see what the expectations are with it. We thought it was pretty much over back around April and May of this year. People were getting vaccinated and the alpha variant had about run its course, then summer hit and the Delta variant took hold and anti-vaccination talking points started to spread.

pretty big difference now though in vax rates and already infected rates than back in April and May
