The pilots or "patriots" are not doing this unprovoked or out of the blue. Your post suggests regular people are getting hurt monetarily as if this makes the pilots' actions unjust. Maybe... then again, what about the perspective of the pilots themselves who perceive the vax mandate as a threat to their freedom and their health? They're doing what they're doing at the risk of losing their careers and that's a way bigger potential hurt than a passenger enduring a cancelled flight faces, wouldn't you agree? Or, do you think the pilots are merely slaves that don't have the freedom to choose to abstain from working in what they deem unacceptable circumstances and they need to do what they're told so others aren't inconvenienced?
Context matters. Your post doesn't consider both sides.

Perhaps it is Southwest that is hurting regular people with their draconian and idiotic policy with no scientific basis - that presents regular people (pilots) with a ridiculous ultimatum, rejection of which is paid for by other regular people (Southwest customers).
In fact the only people actually harmed by the ultimatum are regular people. Southwest Airlines is too busy to consider either its employees or customers in its race to run up woke points by issuing an as yet non-legislative or executive ordered requirement.

BLM have no problem costing regular people millions of dollars and for many their livelihood for their protests/riots and blocking of roadways….
