USDA Choice strip steak is $12.99 / lb at the Kroger on Memorial Dr. (Decatur) this weekend. USDA Choice ribeye sells for $14.99 / lb.

I knew a guy who had a couple of restaurant businesses. When he hired someone, he gave them an application to get an ebt card and he considered that as a form of his compensation to them. Kinda fricked up

Shop sale items. Don't make your menu plans until you see what's on sale. Cook a lot and eat leftovers.

We are far from poor. Got that way by pinching pennies.

Doesn’t change the fact ebt is tax payer funded. That’s the problem, there is no gratitude. People think these entitlements are free but they are costing someone money. Just say thanks.

I think that’s the idea. The elite don’t miss a meal while the under class goes hungry. Empty grocery store shelves, waiting in line for hours for a couple of potatoes that you can barely afford.

This is how the eastern bloc lived for 50 years. You, your children, and grandchildren will all live this way. Except this time, there’s no freedom loving benevolent nation riding in to save you.

not poor, but prices of just regular groceries is really skyrocketing and becoming a noticeable expense in our household.

I don’t know how lower end middle class families can handle gas, groceries and housing all going up at these rates

$26 for bacon at Costco. $49 for two chuck roasts.

Only going to get worse.
