Check out the new Lincoln Aviators. The Volkswagen Atlas is pretty nice too especially if you’re looking for something more subtle. Fully loaded probably wouldn’t get much past 50k if I had to guess.

Get a loaded Genesis, GV80.

I too recommend the Genesis GV80. Buddy has one.
But you’re not getting one loaded for $65k.

My wife got a BMW X5m in August for her anniversary gift and it’s probably been more fun for me than her. Kinda like buying your wife a fishing pole

My work provides a Ford Escape suv - it’s not bad, it’s free. I think they are around $24,000.
I put about 50k miles per year in it. It’s holds up.

She was looking at a Cayenne but I kind of talked her out of that with "why do you need a full-size suv?" Plus she went to the dealership to check them out and came back liking the Macan better.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee from the Limited trim and up is great. You can also now get one with a 3rd row if you go for the Grand Cherokee L.
I know that this board loves to bag on Jeeps but I've had my '17 WK2 Grand Cherokee Overland w/the V8 Hemi for quite a while with pretty much no problems aside from the typical recall fixes that you get with every vehicle.
It's very comfortable to drive, has a decently spacious cabin, and has a bunch of nice tech features. The only feature they really lag behind on is lane assist but I tend to turn that kind of stuff off in other vehicles so it's not a loss for me.
Another one you might want to look at is the Kia Telluride. My neighbor is leasing one and he loves it.
If you really want something smaller I'd also look at the Honda CRV/Acura RDX. The Honda is going to give you great value for the price and if you want a cushier vehicle the RDX can be had maxed out for like $10k less than your max price.

What do you consider small?

Get a Mazda CX-5 and you'll still have $40k left over for strippers and blow.

Not sure if it’s technically an SUV, but I really like Subaru Outback’s- I prefer it over the Forrester model.

Just get a pickup with a camper shell. Unless you need seating for 7.
Camper shell is the best. More cargo area than anything. And it keep anything smelly out of the cab of the vehicle.
