I'm noticing items I like to buy are not available and my local Safeway has empty shelves in various spots in the store.

Soda coolers are half empty in convenience stores. Apparently there is a shortage of supply and drivers. The cashier at the gas station says its worse than it looks, because the store has them stacking the soda 1 or 2 deep on shelves that go 8 deep, in order to make it look more full than it is

Get this if you don’t think evil is at play.

A friend of mine who runs the paint dept at Homie Depot said their store (for the last 1.5 years) has sold $560/sqft of their store. That is a 40-50% increase over the same time period 3/4/5 years ago.

Yet, not only are they underpaying their employees, but they have put hiring restrictions in place.

So to make your shareholders happy, they are throwing their customer service down the drain. Smdh

I usually get half of a pound or so of boars head deli meat for lunch every week. The last couple of weeks it’s been slim pickins at my local publix.

I’ve noticed, and posted here many times that the stores in Orlando have fewer items and some empty shelves. It is concerning because we are in relatively good times.

I’m afraid what happens with bad news

There are shortages everywhere. White paint in the state of Texas, unless you know a distributor rep personally, is extinct for the most part.

Met with our rep yesterday and knew there were issues, but they are expecting it to get even worse and for it to be 6-8 months before there a recovery.

It's a good thing we enjoy so many sitcoms from the 70's because we'll be living them soon.

You definitely won’t find that at Homie Depot. Don’t even try.

The whole industry has been killing it. I was in the biz before changing jobs last year, my product line that was sold mostly into big box home improvement centers was up by over $100 million. Million. Plants couldn’t keep up, they literally built another one. Packaging was a pain, we had to source it from wherever we could get it and constantly were still unable to keep up because forecasts were useless.

That must be the one where you just walk out with baskets full of product and no one tries to stop you because that’s cheaper than being labeled racist

Yep, it has become SOP when grocery shopping while my wife is getting most of our stuff I am roaming the aisles looking for the hard to find items. When I find them I get several of them.

It’s Home Depot. They threw customer service down the drain years ago.

Hence the joke about the woman caught for a rape hoax by claiming a Home Depot employee helped her. No one can find one of those guys when they need one.
