So, the whole piano story was BS?

It would be one thing if Zion and Griffin simply denied that it happened, but if David Griffin actually doesn't know how to play the piano, then some people like Christian Clark and Jake Madison owe us an explanation of how they got used to push a damaging BS story.
If a source flat-out lies to you and makes you look like an idiot, then you can burn that source.
Jake, please tell us how you "know" that Zion was really bothered by Griff's piano playing that didn't happen. I really want to know who is lying to try to tear our organization apart.

I imagine it's pretty straight forward, They took the word of some current or former employee and failed to properly corroborate their source.
...Though the account was a bit weird in that Zion did say he thought Griff brought a keyboard to learn in the bubble. That probably morphed into a rumor and began getting exaggerated until it got to Clark.
Still, that sort of shite typically has to go through an editor and multiple layers of vetting before being published...Really speaks to the whole organization dropping the ball.

But who really knows. I just know today changes nothing for me in whether it's true or not, other than the aforementioned slight caveat. They were always going to come out with a strong denial whether it did or didn't happen.

For me what today did was mostly make me less concerned about irreversible friction with Zion.
True or not, accurately reported or not, what today did show was a coordinated effort, with Zion in tow, to project a unified front as an organization and team.
It at least demonstrates to me that the doom and glooming was overstated and while it's very well possible Zion does in fact hate Griff privately, it's not to the level of Griff or me, or Zion being self-isolated from his teammates out of despair or whatever was being reported by the local media and blogosphere.

It's really hard to tell with Zion. Half of what he said felt like rehearsed comedy bits meant to defuse the tension of the situation.
My first thought after hearing the pressers was that a leak has been plugged and someone was given misinformation to see if it would get out. The Clark article made it sound like there were some rabid anti-griffites in the front office, maybe now Griff knows who they are.

There’s likely some level of truth to the story.
