With cj stroud officially not starting , due to injury, any chance we see the big freshman ,Quinn ewers ?

They said that stroud may dress and take on the unlikely used role of emergency quaterback

Nope. Day said he’s not available. Kyle McCord and Jack Miller, then Stroud on the depth chart.

Kyle McCord is the best QB on that roster.

What's the deal with Ewers is he still not practicing? Is the drama rumor true?

I agree. I believe that McCord is really good.

I would think if he’s not practicing it’s because he never was supposed to be there this year anyway and it has something to do with that fact

He got to campus very late. There's zero chance he gets a snap this year and some accounts seem to indicate that there's a fair amount of growing up to do. He's not the BMAC anymore.

Ewers only came to take advantage of NIL. Dude has 1.4 mil in endorsements and has never taken a snap. I predict he never will take a snap for tOSU.

Ewers isn’t dressing and may not see the field next year, let alone this season. McCord is the best QB on the roster in my opinion.

This will be interesting. Freshmen getting millions in NIL. Never sees the field. I'm sure whatever company is giving the players NIL money want to see their "investments" on the field. Do they pressure the coaches/university to get their players playing time? I can see this happening in the future.

I read a pretty damning article yesterday that had some quotes from Day about Ewers. Pretty much 0% chance he plays this year and he really isn't even getting many practice reps either. He had some undisclosed injury that he missed time with and he got on campus extremely late as well.

I understand he signed a big endorsement deal but I still think he made a terribly short-sighted decision.

Why do you say that? It’s not surprising that he likely won’t see the field this year after essentially enrolling in the middle of the season, but why wouldn’t that be different in future years?

Any insight on if he is taking any scout team reps for OSU?
I still think he gets better playing on a scout team against OSU defense instead of playing another yr in HS.

if he doesn't win the job next year, losing it to an underclassmen, what is the incentive to stick around? With the one time transfer waiver, it is going to be very rare to have upperclassmen take over the qb position.

He may get some this week with Stroud hurt but it sounded to me like Ewers' reps are pretty much only in individuals

I am just seeing a trend that I don't like. Dude is not even playing and cashing in 1.4 mil. Going to get old in that locker room. Something tells me he is not focused on football but rather getting paid and that won't fly with many on that team.

Do companies pressure pro coaches to play the athletes they sponsor?
