I’ve been looking for it here. They did some trials of it, but looks like that is all over with.

Son and I got the J&J shot. Me in May, him in July. Both of us laid up not feeling well for 1-2 days after.

Same. Kicked my butt for a few hours. My wife longer. The injection actually genuinely hurt more than the poke itself.

We have been exposed a whole whole bunch in the last 5 months and remained unscathed.

I posted this earlier, but I’m fairly confident that we spread it asymptomatically to a bunch of people. I know a lot of people with other vaxes, that had breakthrough cases.

I'm not antivax, more "you don't tell me what to do". If getting the vax puts you at ease, by all means get vaxxed. It's your decision and your life. Talk with your doc and do what Sir Winston needs to do.

Can you explain this a little bit more? I am totally open to hearing why I shouldn't get the J&J.
The mRNA actually cut out a step because they are mRNA, the messenger to build a specific protein. The DNA in the JnJ vax has to enter the nucleus to then be converted to mRNA which then exits the nucleus back to the cytoplasm where the ribosomes take the mRNA and create the S protein from it.

I'm not saying don't take the JnJ, but based on so many peoples'concerns on here about gene therapy with mRNA over the last 6 months, I found it interesting that they were more open to the one vax that actually gets the closest to a cell's genes. The mRNA does not enter the nucleus where the genes are stored.

It's sad that people are being forced to get vaccinated if they don't want to be homeless. That is what it has basically come down to since companies everywhere will be requiring it.

There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason with this virus.

Yep, which is why it’s so insane that people try to convince others not to take a perfectly safe and effective vaccine just so they don’t have to be alone in their risk.

You're the most indecisive and flip floppiest poster on TD.

With that said, and for what it's worth, I got the J&J jab.

And just to let you know, you already decided to get the jab, but you just don't know it yet.

If they refused to hire you because of your health you should sue the hell out of them.

Wife and I got the J&J day after it unpaused in April.

I had flu-like out of body and mind feeling for like a day. Night sweats but no fever the night of the shot.

Wife had no symptoms at all.

Wife and I travelled to New Orleans when they end the mask mandate. Partied had no issue. Travelled alot since.

I live in a very small community that has some of the highest per capita increases in US and no absolutely no who is sick from covid. Never had covid that I know of. Kinda mind blowing.

The first place I would come for medical advice is here. Why not just buy ad space to tell the world you're a moron instead?

I would do what the doctor, who you trust, suggests.

I would take the J&J if I was forced to take one.The mRNA vaccine may be fine but I wouldn’t take it because of the uncertainty of what long term side effects may show up.
Anyone says it’s perfectly safe is wrong,no one knows for sure..
If I ever take one it will be the Novavax version but you may not have the luxury of waiting.
I’m retired so my situation is different.

How bad is it going to be that they have been under the impression you are vaccinated and when you have to show proof, it will show a vaccination date that is recent?

Will you be considered deceptive during the interviewing process?

So you want to skip the mRNA that doesn't enter your cells' nuclei in favor of a DNA vaccine that does. Brilliant!

My favorite thing about the internet is people posting things as matter of fact when they are totally clueless on the subject.

Would you prefer the first ever mRNA gene therapy injection being tested on the human race for the first time in history at this scale, or the vaccine that is based on solid tried and true technology of disabled adenovirus that is the same mechanism things like the flu shot have been using for decades.
