Gabbi Petito is the convenient distraction

This country has always been obsessed with these types of stories. Pretty easy distraction.

So, Joe had her killed , framed the boyfriend, all to distract ?



This makes the actual murder of Seth Rich , who worked at the DNC , seem like a routine Hillary snuffing.

Because it was.

But this isn't anything of the sort.

It's a win win. It distracts us and they can call us racists because missing black girls don't distract us.

With not much else worthwhile to watch on tv., the news more often than not is a constant. The Petito case has not dominated the news to the point of exclusion of other stories. Today's coverage seemed to be mostly centered on the Haitian evasion on the border and not on Gabby.

You know something about the way the media has covered the story has seemed odd to me since it first started, I mean even local news in east Texas is covering it and used it as a lead story as if it’s some local girl.
You hate to see something like this take place but the obvious forced attention to it does make it seem like something else is in play. Just think of how many missing persons happen in this nation each day, why single out this one? Think of all the violent crimes, homicides, rapes, kidnappings, that happen every week in this country, why is the news, both local and national, heaping time and attention on this particular incident.
Don’t get me wrong, if it actually happened, it’s bad but there is some much fake and optically delusional news now that it’s hard to say if it’s real or distraction.

FBI and police find 'articles' belonging to Brian Laundrie in 25,000-acre nature reserve they've been searching for nearly 5 weeks

Laundrie is still the only POI for Gabby's strangling homicide.

I scanned the article and they don't say exactly what belongings of Brian's were found.

Well this is a stupid take.

This story was all over social media before the news media got involved.

It has zero to do with distractions and everything to do with giving a very interested public a story that produces clicks and money.

If you are so unintelligent as to let that story "distract" you from, well, anything at all.... then at you.

This story has been meaningless from the beginning. If you are allowing it to consume any portion of the media you interact with, you need better news sources.
