To be honest though, if the chick wasn't a young pretty blonde the coverage would practically disappear.

But she is all of those things. And the media knows that putting a pic of young attractive female on their social media will instantly gain clicks.
And it is a very public story, unique because of the circumstances. Sorry, but nobody should be mad about this. The only person anyone should be angry at is the alleged killer.
