Opinions on the Samsung Galaxy S21?

I've had an S9 for 3 and half years now, and even though I've loved the phone, I figured it was time to just go ahead and upgrade to the S21.
I am obviously not a phone expert, but what are yalls opinions on the phone, and is there any significant difference between the S9 and S21?
Thanks.

Upgraded from 9+ to 21+ phone is definitely faster and battery usually last the day. I think it's worth the upgrade for sure.

Samsung Galaxies are doo doo. Get an iPhone.

I went from a S9 to S21 Ultra. Camera is amazing. Screen did crack rather easily. Fell off my night stand and hit the decorative trim at the bottom. Cracked thru the TPU screen protector.

Keep the S9. I have an S8, with 19000 mp3s on it, and a ear phone jack. None of which I can get on a 21.a I can put a 1 tb card in the s8. No can do on the 21 since they don't take micro sd cards.
The 8 does every single thing I need perfectly. I use it as a mobile hot spot when I'm in Louisiana, and it'd great. I also stream content to my smart tv all day long. There's not a single thing the 21 does that my phone isn't doing for me now.

Taking the micro sd slot away is horseshite. That's the only reason I would buy samsung.
I was gonna upgrade this year. I guess I'm gonna use my 9 till it dies

Just upgraded from an S9 to an S21.
Love the phone. Only gripe is that it doesn't come with a charger when you buy it and I had to go buy Bluetooth earbuds. But that was always coming I suppose.

I used to think the same thing. I've had so many corrupted SD cards however that I no longer trust them. As far as no headphone jack goes,I pre-ordered mine straight from Samsung and gota pair of free galaxy buds pro.

I have one. Use it for work, but everyone calls my personal phone instead.
The S21 will last on standby for about four to five days. Seriously.

S21 is an excellent phone. And would be a very nice upgrade. But it has no expandable storage. Which is why I went with the S20. And it has better resolution. And doesn't have a plastic back. And is a more attractive looking phone in my opinion than the S21. I don't have any major complaints about the S20 other than no headphone jack.

Wife and I upgraded from S8+ to S21 Ultra, had to go with the 128G version since there is SD card slot. Other than that they have been great.
Still way more 'phone' than we need, but should hold us until the pure Linux based phones mature a bit more.

Oh wow. Would've thought it did.
I do agree though with someone earlier the camera on the S21 is amazing.

The A71 still takes MicroSD cards.

Funny this thread was here right when I came to search for S21 problem posts.
I have a S10 that I love. It's been flawless but the battery is starting to weaken. Wife upgraded 2 months ago to a S21+. Her phone is very nice and the camera quality is freaking awesome.
Well... yesterday, out of the blue the screen just goes black. Tried every reset/reboot option available with no luck. I start doing some research and find numerous "black screen of death" posts on forums pertaining to the S21. I called UbreakIfix, which is the local authorized repair center, and the baw confirms it's a big issue. Phone works, can hear it ringing, but it's like the screen is basically unplugged. Not even a flicker of light. Called India and spoke to AT&T, they're shipping her a new one under warranty. I just worry this will be an ongoing issue. I've been thinking about getting one myself but now I'm hesitant. Btw, phone wasn't dropped, wet, nothing like that. The screen just goes black randomly on them.

Just want to report that not EVERY S20 has a micro SD slot. Samsung pulled the SD slot on some S20 models to make room for 5G antennas.

I'm just using the same chargers I used for the S9 as I am using for the S21. It works for me.

So there's no way to connect regular cord headphones to it? If so, that's a big negative for me. I hate the battery life, size, and connectivity issues you often get with bluetooth earbuds.
ETA: I have the S8 and am needing to upgrade as my touchscreen is starting to fail.

Stuff like this is becoming standard in the phone world unfortunately.
