So we got the COVID vaccine literally days after the election. It was designed to counter the “Alpha” variant, the original version of the virus. But now we have Delta variant. But the experts keep pushing the vaccine designed for the Alpha variant to fight the Delta variant. I understand it gives some protection against Delta. But it’s becoming more and more obvious it doesn’t prevent the spread of Delta.

Why aren’t they working on a vaccine designed to fight the Delta variant? The drug companies manage to come up with new flu vaccines every year because every year there’s a different variant of the flu. Why isn’t there an Operation Warpspeed 2.0 to fight Delta?

Actually, yes. One of the advantages of the mRNA vaccine is tweaking to the current variant is straight forward.

Because no one really knows what to do, but they’re trying to act like they do

Why spend all that R&D when you can have your minions (politicians) push the public to get the vax that you already have the sunk cost on of R&D?

Just get the vaccine and ask no questions like they intended.

There is no room for individual critical thinking when it comes to COVID ONLY do what your told or else!

Do you really want another vaccine? It hasn't even been a year since the first came out.

Its an interesting question considering one of the Big Pharma selling points for mRNA was how quickly it could be modified to account for rapid mutation.

So far, the only thing these companies seem interested in is vaccinating children.

So, why isn't that being done or even discussed here?

they need to start working on the vaccine that is going to protect the vaccinated against the variant that has mutated with purpose to kill those vaccinated. BOOM. Smoke that shite.

Both variants have the spike protein. The vaccine works for both. The main advancement with delta is that it’s more contagious. It’s not even more deadly than alpha. Just more people are likely to get it.

I just checked and the Delta variant first appeared in India in December 2020. It didn’t take long to arrive in the US. So Delta has been here roughly nine months.

Now compare that to Alpha. The first reported case in North America was January 2020. The vaccine for Alpha was approved for emergency use by December at which time there were already millions of doses produced.

How did we get so much done on Alpha so quickly but now that Delta is here nothing is being done??

We are. Look up all the nasal vaccines currently in development.

These are not specifically designed for Delta, but are designed to inhibit reproduction in the nasal cavity, something that the muscular vaccines are limited.

Delta didn’t get here until late spring. In May, it was only 5% of cases. By late July it was 99%.
