Need a new robot vacuum (UPDATE: with Wyze Vacuum review)

We have a 5 year old roomba that has destroyed our baseboards by running into them repeatedly. The damage was done by the time we noticed. Currently redoing our floors to all hardwood, and are repainting our baseboards as we go. Will still have tile in kitchen and bathrooms but no carpet anywhere. We have 2 indoor pets, so a robotic vacuum is a must for us, but we need one that doesn't bump into everything. Not set on any brand, 2000ish Sq ft house. TIA 
Update: Bought a Wyze after all your responses and reading some reviews. 100% satisfied so far. It doesn't bump into anything! That was my #1 goal when looking for a replacement. Battery life would be my biggest gripe, only a concern if you're having it clean over 1400 sq ft or so. Even then, it returns to the base, charges a bit, then finishes. Much quieter than our older Roomba. Recommend to quick map your home first , then divide your rooms on the app. At first, I tried to split our home into two big "rooms", made it much more inefficient. Divide your home into individual rooms, then have it clean half of them on alternating days. The app is very user friendly. Before this vacuum, we would find clumps of pet hair floating everywhere, but not anymore. We keep the charger a few feet from our kitchen trashcan and empty it every other day. Very satisfied. It's on sale on Amazon today for $220, which is about $60 less than we paid. If you've been on the fence, I'd highly recommend you buy it now.

We had an old Roomba we hated, recently went to Roborock and it's much more useful and efficient.
I'm sure Roomba has better offerings now, but the Roborock is night and day compared to our 5-6 year old Roomba (which at the time was pretty close to top of their line).

I have a Roborock S5 Max and I love it. It replaced a Roomba 960 that I had nothing but problems with, but I put up with because it was better than the model I had before which slammed into everything. I had to pay to get the 960 repaired less than 2 years into owning it because the IR sensor went out and it couldn't see barriers/find the dock anymore. Even after it got fixed it would get lost all the time and support admitted it didn't work well in "low light conditions".
The Roborock works just fine in the dark, doesn't get lost, doesn't bump into stuff, rarely if ever gets itself stuck. Works on the wood floors and the rugs just fine. I like that the map lets me label the rooms and set up schedules with whatever combination of rooms I want. It came with a mop attachment but I've never used it.

I had the same issue with our old Roomba. All the base boards are marked up now.
We switched to a Wyze and have been very happy with it. It maps the room so it knows when walls are coming up and goes around the perimeter first and is careful not to bump into much of anything (chair legs might be an exception). It is also much cheaper than most other mapping robot vacuums.
You can set no-go zones if you don't want it running on a rug every day and wearing it out. It maps individual rooms so you can clean just a living room or hallway instead of bedrooms. It also has 3 suction levels including a quiet setting that isn't too annoying if you are home and it is running.

Get one with smart NAV or laser. The bumper robovacs are terrible.

Another vote for Wyze. The mapping didn't have all the kinks worked out when we first got it (preordered) but it's been solid ever since. It cleans every square inch efficiently, returns to base to charge, the app is nice. Does everything we want.
