Gotta remember that Rush was a radio guy first and foremost. He was a DJ before he was a talk show host. None of these others are that. But I like Clay and Buck. They are different and I think Buck Sexton is the stronger of the two. I've never been a fan of Bongino on the radio. I like Wilkow as well. But none are as entertaining as Rush or for that matter Steyn. But, I don't think Steyn wanted the job full time.
Rush really understood the medium. But, over the years Rush got away from his bits like the FeminiNazi update or Environmental Wacko update and his radio cartoons which made him legend. "The Philaderer" the "Justice Brothers", etc. I do like how Buck and Clay get people like Alex Berenson and even Lara Logan on.

I could listen to rush or Bortz for 3 hours and it seemed like 1 hour. One hour of Bongino or Hannity seems like 3 hours.

Bongino is terrible. Never says shite, no original thoughts or analysis. Calls folks “losers” a lot. Dude is like knockoff hannity.

They easily spend an hour a day talking about their views on vaccines. It’s redundant and gets boring.
I want smart political insight and some humor. I’m not getting that from these guys.
They’re not a good replacement IMHO.

He’s not the Rush replacement - it’s Clay Travis and Buck Sexton.
They've been cancelled by our station that carried Rush from the beginning. Rush's time slot has gone to Bongino and his ratings are better than any EIB Rush replacements but not as good as Rush.
I tried Travis and Sexton once and couldn't take them for more than 15 minutes.
I currently listen to Bongino 1/2 hour a day. I listened to Rush 2 hours a day.

Rush was one of a kind. He isn’t appreciated for the great comedian and entertainer he was. He was so much more than politics even though he was the most influential pundit of all time.

Rush was the best. I couldn't agree with him 100% of the time but he was a hell of a talk man. He invented the medium really. He'll never be replaced.

Yes, but Neal Boortz was damn close. 3rd place was G. Gordon Liddy.

I love Neal Boortz. Wish he was still around but he is enjoying retirement. I got to meet him once and he's a complete gentleman and very funny.

I truly believe the Progs are doing all this shite because Rush died. His ability to call it out and make it understandable remains unmatched.

None of them have a sense of humor. They are too serious and gloom and doom.
No "Rio Linda" or "John Kerry, who served in Vietnam Nam". kind of stuff.

Have not liked any of the replacements save for Mark steyn

Rush can't be replaced. Clay and Buck are OK but I believe that Joe Pags would be better.

No doubt. I mentioned this same thought to the missus a couple of days ago. Every day at 11:00 AM, I miss the Maha.
Clay and Buck are pretty good. They seem to be getting their sea legs under them. Stopping talking over one another would help a lot.
I can only hang with Wilkow in small doses.

You never replace Babe Ruth. You just kinda wait until a DiMaggio or Mantle eventually comes along.
If not now, eventually someone will likely come on the scene and establish their own unique brand that can be good and memorable for this era ....but it’ll never be quite the same as the original.

If any more evidence is needed that we're on the strangest timeline, the guy who asked Tim Tebow if he was a virgin at SEC media days replaced Rush Limbaugh. Just an incredible turn of events over the last 5 years

Just remember this: You can become your own "Rush" by simply ignoring the lunacy from the left. Not listening is just as important as listening.

The great Clay Travis is actually doing what Rush dreamed of doing but couldn’t pull off.
Clay is effectively walking the tightrope between being the conservative talk radio king as well as a prominent national football figure, and in a much more left-leaning atmosphere than when Rush tried and wound up cancelled in under a month

Bo Snerdlys radio show is the best Rush substitute.
