So you are saying living in Chicago is more dangerous than Covid. I can see that.

The OP should read died "with" covid. As we've seen, because of the way reimbursements for covid work, anyone that has it when they die, or is reasonably presumed to have had it upon death, will be counted as a covid death. No one really knows the exact number, but it's nowhere close to what's being reported.

Plus, don’t forget the incentive of funeral costs being paid if it is classified as a Covid death

“ COVID-19 Funeral Assistance is limited to a maximum of $9,000 per deceased individual.”

especially when being fat/out of shape leads to other health problems....many of which lead to complications with covid.

This particular statistic is directly proportionate to where you reside. I would like to see this number for, let's say, the south side of Chicago. I'm thinking 1 in every 5 maybe?

Assuming their statistics are correct, it still not OF Covid, it is WITH Covid. There is a significant distinction in my book.

Surely the other causes are not within the same time frame. Also, all those deaths are with, not from, vivid unless there's a separate category for co-causes

Are we sure that some of the other perils on your list were not bringing this ratio lower than it really is? As in like someone who died of a heart attack, who had Covid months before...that it wasn't chalked up to Covid?

Let's find how how many deaths are attributable to the vaccine, that's where the big numbers are but not reported.

Your comparisons are misaligned. You are comparing COVID-19 deaths to the total population. The other causes you are comparing to total deaths.

In 2020, the US recorded 3,358,814 deaths. The previous 3 years were 2,854,838 (2019), 2,839,205 (2018), and 2,813,503 (2017). The first thing to notice is a lot more people died in 2020 than the previous three years.

Of the 2020 deaths:

690,882 Heart Disease (659,041 in 2019; 655,381 in 2018)
598,932 Cancer (599,601 in 2019; 599,274 in 2018)
345,323 COVID-19
192,176 Unintentional Injury (173,040 in 2019; 167,127 in 2018)
159,050 Stroke (150,005 in 2019; 147,810 in 2018)

So, in 2020 about 1 in 100 people died. Of those who died:

1 in 5 died of heart disease
1 in 6 died of cancer
1 in 10 died of COVID-19

Even if you hang onto "died with" as opposed to "died of," a whole lot more people died, and it's hard to identify a different cause of the increase other than COVID-19.

The statistic that really needs to be known and looked at is deaths/actual known positive cases. This will never be calculated correctly because there are so many that are asymptomatic and many others that may have mild symptoms and just chose not to get tested. But, the one thing that is certain is this virus, like so many other issues, affects the unhealthy and old more.

I just don't like the way you worded it lol. Wouldn't it be better stated as "in 2020, 1 out of every 5 deaths was attributed to heart disease, 1 out of every 6 deaths was a attributed to cancer, 1 out of every 10 deaths was attributed to 'COVID-19'"

So basically you're about as likely to get runover as you are to die of COVID. Got it.

You do not have a very sharp mind if you can't identify "a different cause of the increase".

Let me help you:

Social Isolation
Depression
Reduced exercise due to lockdowns
Cancellation of non-emergency procedures
Lack of social interaction contributing to signs of heart disease and cancer not being identified early

On and on and on...

Just because YOU jump to conclusions, doesn't mean that everyone should.

Incorrect. Died of in relation to total population is the statistic.

First they change the definition of 'died from' then the definition of vaccine then they remove the word gullible from all online dictionaries.
