I’m sensing five years of Hallmanesque futility before we get the political and administrative power structure in place to build a winning program again. I remember sitting watching Curley’s teams in Tiger Stadium as tumbleweeds blew through there. We will have to start from scratch.

YOu probably have the perfect storm, an out of touch work administration, with an AD that really has never done anything, plus now trying to hamstring the program.

I figure Ed is fired one way or another, you lose a good portion of the commits. The stars will hit the portal as they're not going to sit around for a 3-4 year rebuild.

Naw. There's way too much of a financial investment in football for that to happen. The infrastructure is in place to sustain success and there are talented players up and down the roster. This looks nothing like the early 90s.

nonsense. With the talent we have, the turnaround could be almost instantaneous…with the right coach.

Seems like it's really just this one guy blindly white knighting for Orgeron and Max.

No. You're lacking in S/LB/OL.

The internal DL is where there is young strength, I would expect a run at them especially from Bama.

Fans don't give Max a break, he'll be gone as will his brother.

Imagine somebody being dumb enough to think a program needs a 3-4 year rebuild because Ed Orgeron got fired. If anything he's a great coach to follow because he leaves you with plenty talent that he couldn't coach. See Houston Nutt's Ole Miss start.

Every time there is a coaching change, the commits walk... the recruiting class suffers.

As far the current players, the transfer rules are much easier to leave.

This isn't 1990.

Every time you post you prove that you’re the dumbest motherfricker on this website. Why didn’t your doomsday scenario happen with baseball? Paul left the program in pretty terrible shape by post-1990 LSU standards and we didn’t have a mass exodus of talent

Baseball isn't football bro.

As far as when coaches change in football, the recruiting class almost always suffers... usually greatly.

Just a matter of who hist the portal, keep talking about Max... bye. It really is that simple now.
