There was a comedy bit about that years ago by a black comedian that if you wanted to be famous as a black comedian or actor or celebrity you had to dress up like a girl for the powers that be. Martin Lawrence, Jaime Foxx, Chris Tucker, Snipes, Murphy, Tyler Perry, Arsenio, etc. Some Hollywood weird rite of passage bullshite. Forgot who the Comedian was. But that was the bit.
But look at Monty Python? John Winters?
So it doesn't hold water. It might be a Hollywood thing but its not race-based.
