I'd be pissed if I paid premium for behind home plate seats and some asshat came in and sat in front of me in that.

It's a Tampa Bay game. You could just move to a different (possibly better) seat. There are plenty available.

I have met him a couple times...he is anything but a douche. I had the same feeling also.
So I asked him the question that most people ask him, why?
Said something along the lines I have gotten lucky in life (lawyer) and can go watch baseball that he has a passion.
Said he either had a divorce/bad breakup and that this is his outlet.
I cannot remember him drinking but he was nerdy about baseball.

He definitely has an ego over being Marlins Man. My brother and me were at a Cubs game and the Marlins Man was there several rows in front of us. We were drinking and pumped about seeing tha frickin Marlins Man so we waved to him when he was looking towards us. About 3 innings later I’m not paying attention and my brother is like holy shite look and it’s the Marlins Man walking up to come see us. I ask him if we can take a picture and he was like “sure!!” and he got his phone out and took a picture of us. I was like lol no on my phone and we took one on mine too. He posted our picture on his Instagram though so that was cool.

I've heard that several times about him before. Kinda odd but he strikes me as an odd guy anyways. He did take a photo with Cinnamon Toast Crunch last night too of course. Saw that going around on Twitter

He was roaming the tailgates at Husky Stadium a few years back with another celebrity fan, Sonics Guy (R.I.P.). He drew and held large crowds while poor Sonics Guy looked like a wallflower in the back.
