I have tried all the chemicals recommended.
I have applied the chemistry for 2 years now.
I re-sodded 1/2 of my 1 acre lot.....
VBW continues to take over!
I'm waving the white flag. Help!

I feel like I’ve been spot spraying VBW every weekend with Celsius, and more just keeps popping up. I understand your frustration.

Turf….the artificial variety lol

All my neighbors have it too....so I am prolly wasting my time as it will migrate my way even if I kill it all.
You cannot kill this stuff! The 6 month old fresh st aug sod is under attack and losing the fight.
So, about $5K later, I may have a beautiful lawn of VBW....at least it is green!

High concentration of Celsius not doing the trick? works every time for me. Usually takes two applications at about 3 weeks apart for it to die.

I've been doing the same. A good portion of my lawn is st aug. The celsius burns the st aug. The VBW starts popping up again before the st aug recovers. It's pretty discouraging.

Have you tried MSM Turf?

Not yet, I've read that celsius is preferred for vbw

It really should not be an issue. If you are having trouble controlling it you’ll have to mark where sprayed. New plants will pop and if you walk the lawn every 2-4 you’ll have new plants all over. Walk, spray, flag. Do it again in a week. The next week respray week 1 flagged areas. The next week respray week 2 flagged areas.
Persistence is key.

MSM has been the way to go for me. Add a surfactant. It slows it down enough to let grass to sufficate it. Its a tough sob though
Oh and listen to everything Ronk says.

I’d gladly trade my dove weed for more VBW.

It’s worked for me. It’s killed everything except the damn Dallis grass

I thought I got away from this by moving to NW Arkansas. NOT - it is sprouting up everywhere.

I just pick it out

What are you calling a high dose?
I am willing to try anything at this point.

I saw a fresh crop coming up today when I mowed. Guess it’s MSM tomorrow

Going off memory here: .226 or .218 on the measuring cup per 2 gallons. I’m just following the instructions on the label.

I used the Ortho Weed B Gone for chickweed, clover, and oxalis and it worked amazingly well. I really couldn't believe how well it worked. Tried this on part of my yard and used a Bioadvanced product on another part. Night and day. Only thing left where the weed b gone was sprayed is some dallis grass and of course the bermuda.
I'm in central Arkansas.
