Why was Maason Smith not used more last night?

Maason Smith appeared to me to play good early in the game. Then I do not remember seeing him again in the game. Why did we keep using mostly the same folks that played last year in the defensive line and they did not seem to me to be up to the task.

I was thinking the same thing. He was on safe punt return later in the game so playing the “not 100%” card doesn’t play

A lot of the kids that were hyped all summer didn’t sniff the field.

We’ve been lied to, boys.

He was on the field a lot early in the game, then I saw him come to the sideline and Coach O was pissed and talking at him and he never sniffed the field again.

They showed O chewing someone out in slow motion as the player came to the sideline, I believe just after Max’s int. I thought it was gonna be Max as the player came into view, but I’m pretty sure it was Smith.

This is what pisses me off about CEO, he will do a younger player like this but never an upperclassmen. Ferrell, Clark and several others played like dog shite and were never taken off the field.

To be honest I don't see how anyone watching tv knew who was playing on the defensive line. Its not as tho they ever say their name and you surely cannot see their number from the tv angle. Saw the defensive backfield and linebackers every so often, but very rarely saw the DTs. Where are the stats on how many plays the players played?

After seeing the O-Line last night it really put some perspective on all the talk about being 8-9 deep at D-Line. We heard all about how many STUDs we had up front on Defense & that we would be able to rotate & keep em all fresh for the 4th quarter.

Turns out they suck even if there well rested

He’s worse than Miles when it comes to coddling vets, at least on the defense.

I just know I saw Ferrell getting man handled on several of the big running plays.

Maason Smith was in on some of the big plays in the back field in the first quarter.

I'm confused, if it was just after the interception the offense was on the field, why would he be chewing out Maason?

Yea just like Kiner. Where the hell was he all game long?. All I’ve heard all of August was how great he and Goodwin were doing at RB. I know Goodwin was injured and couldn’t play but why didn’t Kiner see the field at all if he is as good as O and the other players say he is?
