While I agree with some of what you said about politics being a dead-end, the issues with LSU aren’t political so much as issues of respect. The university has zero respect for its students, alumni, or ticketholders. They see them only as dollar signs and feel entitled to their money rather than seek to earn it. The university has hired representatives that not only hold contempt for football fans, but contempt for alumni, students, traditions, and the university’s very identity. Not only do they hold it in contempt, but seek to actively undermine these traditions and marginalize students and alumni while feeling entitled to more of their money. This is an issue of leadership, respect, greed, culture, and corruption more so than simple politics.

Sure but the poliboard is for politics, and my point is that if you're upset with that stuff fine but don't try and say thats why lsu football isn't good because that's just absurd. We have top 5 recruiting classes almost every year and outside of Burrows time here we have been arse under O. The problem is obvious at this point and it has zero to do with politics.

One of LSU’s title 9 employees was hired straight out of school at LSU. While a student, she literally stalked a classmate, broke into his apartment on multiple occasions, raped him his shower, and then when he tried to go to authorities, claimed he abused her, resulting in him facing criminal charges (that were later dropped), him getting kicked out of all classes he shared with her putting him way behind in his major, him getting run out of his department and dropping out of school. She has since bragged about her conduct. I know all parties involved as well as the professors that saw the abuse going on and refused to report it, I know the professors who did report it but were stonewalled by administration, and I know the title 9 administrators who are still employed after this who then hired her to be a part of their team.

I’m a TGBFTL alumni from the late 80’s. I absolutely love that organization, LSU football and the university. Over the past ten years or so, the Band has been completely marginalized to the point that they won’t even bother to send a Pep Band to a huge road game.
The Band has been through multiple directors since Dr. Wickes retired and they refused to promote Linda Moorehouse into the job that she earned and was must qualified for.
They play piped in music over the band during games and they ban certain music from being played.
The quality of TGBFTL has sharply declined in recent years.
My Son is finishing up his college education this semester at UF. I’m glad he went there instead of LSU.

You are asking people to ignore political influence that is destroying a university because your political background matches the political influence that is destroying the university. You are the most political person in this thread.
But, that's not the point of the thread. In fact, the point you are making is right...but absolutely pointed in the wrong direction.
LSU is alienating its alumni, state, and region. It is doing it by being political. The solution isn't to point to those who are alienated and tell them not to be political. It's to tell LSU to stop being political. That you ended up on exactly the wrong side of the argument is not surprising.
