It’s all the things. All of them.

At first I didn’t know you.
Then I came to love you.
Now I no longer recognize you.
What’s worse, you’ve alienated me.

I’m done. I’m out. I will not be party to this abomination.

Don’t tread on me.

They really are. While I don't find your ramblings to make much sense in service of your overall point, having dealt with this university as a student, employee, and alumni, it is incredibly clear that they not only give a shite about their students and alumni, but hold them in contempt.

They don't want me, so they won't be getting any more of my money.

What you say is true.
I’ve unsubscribed from all LSU email.
I ignore the calls from the 225 area code asking for money.
And it’s not anger. It’s loss of interest which is worse.

A lot of people haven't realized how true this is and how bad things could become really, really, quickly.

The university is fighting wars on multiple fronts. Almost all of it is self inflicted. They have alienated a significant portion of its fan base due to COVID protocols. It has alienated another portion of its fan base due to wokeness. It is fighting scandals within the Athletic Department. Most importantly, those in charge who support the leftist agenda care more about that agenda than they do the well being of the school and certainly athletics, so every decision will be towards creating more of a divide vs. solving these issues.

You see it on this very board with fans who care more about winning the COVID argument than they do the damage it is doing to the university.

Honestly, I think it's past the point of no return.

What is happening to LSU is just a microcosm of what has happened to the country.

We are going through the end of the dollar empire.

This is what the end looks like. It’s a cycle that has been repeated throughout history for eons.

If the team would have won last night this thread would not exist. The football team lost the game on the field last night, simple as that.

...only because winning would mask the problem. It's not because people are inventing a problem because of a loss.

Herbstreit predicted the loss yesterday, but also predicted that LSU would lose the team as a result. The fans are already ready to start a mob, and a significant number of fans are telling you they are no longer giving money to the school.

Keep your head in the sand if you want.

I swear most of you on this board can't do anything in your life without making it political.

Bama had BLM marches. Colleges across the country are changing entrance rules due to covid. It's not just LSU and plenty of them have successful football programs still.

My god. Get off the political train for a few seconds and realize it's because our coach is clueless nothing more. Nothing less.

No other SEC school has the covid protocols we have to be enrolled as a student or to attend football games.

No other SEC school has a critical race theory proponent as the head of the university.

No other SEC school has a dean of student affairs actively waging wars on its fraternity/sorority system to the extent LSU does.

No other SEC school went to the media to claim financial exigency when the legislature threatened to reduce the annual planned rate of increase to its budget (despite not one single year of their budget going down relative to inflation or the budget the year prior).

No SEC school has the kind of corruption in the Title IX department regarding covering up real instances of rape and abuse like LSU does (trust me, the worst of this scandal has nothing to do with athletics and is so so so so so much worse than you think).

So tell me how any of that actually mattered in terms of winning or losing the game last night.

Some posts on the tiger rant aren’t just about football, my dude. One could point to the covid restrictions that LSU has and “woke” L.A. liberal UCLA does not. I think when it comes to LSU, winning masks a lot of problems folks have with the way the University is run and treats its customers, students, and alumni. When the university’s team isn’t winning, it becomes easier to not show support for the school and what it is doing.

Just remember that worrying about politics too much is a dead end street.

Colleges have been liberal and progressive for decades now. Vote for who you like and be done with it.

The media machine, most certainly including conservative media, wants you to be angry and consume their product 24/7. That, my friend, is what you should boycott.
