What Stock have you sold recently that toke off after Selling?

I had bought 300 shares of AMC back when it was $3.50/share. I actually got assigned the 300 shares on 3 put contracts I sold back in December as the price had fallen a bit below $3/share at that point.

I sold a few $4 calls the coming weeks against those, collecting a few bucks. Then I sold 3 $4 calls in late January for $110 (thought I was making out nice on that), then the price exploded to the teens

So I made about $166 from the options activity there in total, and then another $150 from the $50 profit selling each at $4 from buying at $3.50. So I technically made over $300 from that options trade back and forth in total.

Butttttttt, yeah. AMC hit over $60 on Jun 2 this year. My initial buying of 300 shares @ $3.50 for $1,050...would have been worth in excess of $18k if I just had held instead of selling calls against them

Just part of the fun of doing an options portfolio though. Gotta take the good you get and ignore the really good you might have missed out on.

NVDA. Held between 515 and 540 for a long time. It’s about $894 now if you consider the 4/1 split. Ouch!

I sold SPCE around the beginning of May for around 20 and it literally took off not long after that.

Navi. I bought at like 7 and it’s up 22 or 23, all in the last 6 months.

Just checked UPST. Damnit. Dropped it like a month ago

Sold 10 shares of DE @ $212 thinking it topped out. Wish I would have continued to hold onto that one.

I sold GME at 10 after buying at 4 early COVID. Didn’t see it spiking to $500.

Also sold Overstock and RIOT when they doubled last year. Both took off like rockets later.
