I saw this on D1 Baseball over the weekend, was surprised that LSU hadn't said anything about this yet (I saw it before the storm).

At first glance it seems late to have fall games. I hope there is some sort of media coverage for these games and at the very least, box scores.

Some schools had their radio teams steaming. I doubt we would get actual video, but that would be nice.

Overall, the social media has increased with little snippets of workouts for the pitchers and the hitters. That makes me think we will get more stuff like that once fall practice and these games roll around.

My guess is that it is because of the storm that they haven’t announced it yet. They know between that and with football kicking off this weekend, it would completely get missed by most fans.

That was my thought too. When they first did these a couple years ago, I feel as though they were in October.

The ones last time were streamed. I remember for sure at least the Nicholls one was or it was televised on CST or something. But I remember watching it.

I could see them charging for one of them possibly to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts.

LSU seems to love to do this and has done it before with both basketball and baseball. Basketball had one scheduled with La. Tech for their tornado relief efforts and then I’m almost positive the one LSU baseball did with Nicholls 2 years ago was for some sort of storm relief for Nicholls Universtity I believe.

I think I read that we weren't starting fall practice until the beginning of October, so those dates would kind of make sense.

Gavin Dugas will wear number 8 this season, for those interested.

I’m just glad to see the tradition continued. I know some have problems with it but I think it’s a cool as frick captains patch.

Nichols exhibition was televised by rantz only because it was on the road
Sec network would own rights to any home exhibition game and they are not showing exhibition games during football season or with hoops starting around same time
