Gecko Treatment

Does anyone have any advice in treating a house that has geckos? I've found them around the house outside, but I found one inside today, and am worried they will start making their way inside the house given they start to multiply.

nah, one just came in when you opened the door. They food is outside, unless you lie in filth. keep the bugs out of your house and the geckos will stay outside. I love seeing them as they are eating bugs outside.

why would you want to get rid of them? they mostly only come out at night and they inhale bugs including mosquitos like their life depends on it (I guess it kinda does). I'm sad when my dog kills a gecko or lizard.

Spray some talstar all around your house, and their food source will be gone.

Not necessarily want them gone. I'd like to proactively manage them to make sure they don't come into the house. We keep the house clean, so given the first response, I can't imagine they would have too much food inside and would stay outside.
I agree they are a benefit to the environment. They are loud and have kept us up at night before making chirping noises throughout the night.

Occasionally they get in the house, but I just leave them alone to eat my bugs. They will find a dark corner somewhere and usually stay out of your way. Unfortunately, they have a tendency to get smashed in door frames.

Wait, is this a thing? I have a ton in my backyard that help keep the mosquito population down. They get in the house all the time and I just catch them and put them back outside. Can’t say I’ve ever heard one chirp though.

I wish I could get geckos on my house. I wouldn’t have to deal with all the spiderwebs

they eat -
roaches
spiders
mosquitoes
flies
all manner of little bugs
they are harmless natural pesticides so why do you want to get rid of them?

Leave them be...occasionally they get in, I just put them back out.... unless the freak out the ol'lady.. in that case catch them and bring them in for a while.

Yeah because some anti-geckite moved into their home.

Best treatment is to treat them with kindness since they are beneficial to keeping nighttime bugs at bay. They eat their weight in mosquitoes and other biting insects.

I've never heard geckos making noise before but just now I was walking into my carport and I heard what sounded like air spraying. I turned on the light and there was a gecko there. It was the darndest thing because I have NEVER heard that noise before. Maybe it was a bug making the noise and the gecko was checking it out but I had to come here immediately and let y'all know that maybe geckos do make noise.
I still think geckos are cool and I always catch n release if they are in my home.
