The staff are quitting. There’s a 16:1 ratio in some of these hospitals. I have 2 aunts and 6 cousins that are in nursing between BR and Houston. More staff isn’t the solution.

This is the kind of ignorance that is a risk to all of us. Vaccination mandates are the only chance of keeping the virus at bay, seeing many stupid people are the ones who don't get vaccinated. The unlearned of the history of vaccines are keeping the virus alive and may lead to another variant more sinister than the Delta variant. Congrats to LSU for mandating vaccinations. There is so much data now it's hard to fathom the continual ignorance like this thread.

LOL. The 7-day average in BR went from 371 to 362 this week. 2 weeks ago it was at its highest at 495. Hospitals are still critical mass, they don’t walkout out of the ICU after 1 week.
