First post in this thread. Seriously
As far as apps go MyRadar is reliable and doesn’t bog down or fail to load when I can’t get websites to load. You have to pay for the hurricane content though. TD and RDS will always have the newest information though.

Yeah this run is a little slower in terms of wind speed, which is welcome. Still gets to 959 mbar but that’s better than what we were seeing.
Also goes due north instead of taking that NE turn toward baton rouge

Just got word that Cooking for Christ will be heading to LA Tuesday morning. Not sure where yet since we dont know where the worst damage will be. We did 3 locations last year (Lillian, AL. DeRidder, LA, and Lake Charles LA).
We have upgraded our equipment substantially. Our old setup allowed us to do 1200 or so meals a day. The new equipment should do 4500-5000 meals every day.
We have already placed our orders with Sysco and are waiting on that delivery and some other final things we need to be there.
Help is coming, it will just take a few days to get there.
Please be safe and take care.

Bailing to Austin, glad we took 90 instead of trying to wade through BR

I can only assume due to the amount of people still living in campers?

It's a personal decision but we're in Perry south of Abbeville and as of now, we're not leaving. I reserve the right to have my husband drag me outta here.
Good luck, I wouldn’t be staying if I were where you are.

Go. I don't care who you are, if you live to the east and immediate surrounding of where the eye will pass and you're below I-10 leave. Just go. Don't stay.

I think you guys hooked us up with a plate in LC last year. Be careful and thank you.

It’s crazy how consistent GFS has been on speed. There’s a post I wrote several hundred pages ago where I mentioned a 959 mbar on a Wednesday evening run.
After the insane shift from central Mexico to Lake Charles, GFS has been damn consistent for some time now.

Serious answer. Likely best to just open Waze app and let it guide you. Waze worked after Laura here in LC with next to no cell service.
Used it when we left early morning of Delta. I checked every 45 minutes from 3:30 to 6AM when we left. Showed me 4 different routes before we left. Really helpful.
May God bless and keep all of y’all and your families.

If there are any worrisome shifts west, I'll be loading my car.

Do y’all try and talk to folks about religion or just give food out?

Does look like Cuba interaction affecting Ida currently.
