I applaud the university for following the science. Hope other universities will follow suit.

Second only about half of Louisiana adults are vaccinated as it is so you are limiting your attendance to at best 75%.

We don't know that yet...as far as positives. I've had covid...you are at extra risk from vaccine if you have previously had it, AND I already have higher antibodies. Wtf would I want a vaccine that hasn't been fully studied?

But the RNA! It's the RNA! It has always been the RNA!

Yes they do. Viruses adapt to vaccines over time it just takes longer. This is scientific fact. If you don't know about it, educate yourself. Mutations absolutely spawn off vaccines but it's harder for the virus to adapt to it compared to someone who's not.

So its ok for the vaxed to spread because they are vaxed and they do spread the virus as well...

Vaccine requirements have been extremely effective at other large sporting events in the US and around the world. The actual outcomes carry more weight than your little anti vaxx voice .. sorry

What? Where in the OAN did you read that nugget?

You're mighty sure of that without any basis in demonstrable data.

None of this makes sense though.

I can get tested on thursday morning, party thursday night and friday night, catch covid, then go to the game.

I disagree with LSU's decision but if you "caught" covid on a Thursday, you're most likely not contagious on a Saturday. That's the reasoning behind the 72 hour requirement.

I get the negative pcr test.

What I don’t get is that the vaccine doesn’t lower your chance very much for contracting the delta strain so they will basically be letting vaccinated people with Covid into the game.

If they were really serious about preventing the spread of Delta the only requirement would be a negative PCR test. The vaccine should not be a factor for this based on Delta.

Agree. The political agendas that have been imposed on college football and basketball are making it really easy to lose interest.

Everyone can have their opinions but sports is supposed to an escape. Im not going to a game to hear about social injustice and who’s life matters and who’s life doesn’t matter.

Frick all that.

The PCR test is the rapid test.

I’m going with that the average person who can afford tickets to LSU football is likely to be educated and vaccinated. This is backed up by rates of those with bachelors degrees etc.

The data is showing that you are at least 4 times less likely be infected by Delta if you have been vaccinated.

So now there will be people scalping tickets AND people scalping negative PCR tests outside the stadium.
