It's really scary how much people have bought into masks

If wearing a mask works, and the boyfriend wore his, then shouldn't he be OK anyway?

Same for vaccines

I love when people argue their effectiveness after putting on a dirty cotton one from their pocket or just laying around in their car

The best are the neck gaiters

I have drywall crews working for me, and I am also doing some drywall in my own house. Go sand drywall all day with a mask on then tell me you don't blow white snot. Now take into consideration that a drywall particle is a million times the size of a covid particle.

I would think that they have minimal positive effect in certain situations like indoors in close quarters with others.

Not a whole lot though.

Not worth using outdoors at all.

Maybe we should give this woman that hates western individualism a taste of what life is like without the concept of respect for women developed in western nations.

Of course.

A week or so ago I quit pretending and simply cut out the inner liner of the cloth mask I'd bought last year that was designed to have a filter in there as well. With the filter in, it was damn near impossible to breathe THROUGH it, so air was being forced around the nose and cheeks and chin. Now I can basically breathe through it, and it's just as ineffective as it was before.

And obviously, it sits in my vehicle all the time...

Someone posted this link the other day, and I'm this close to buying one.

It was scarier to me how quickly they seem to have been re-embraced. I (foolishly, I suppose) actually thought we had turned the corner with this particular facet of this insanity.

Thanks for the link. If masks are mandated in our schools this is what I’m going with.

I agree that masks don't work from an operational standpoint (like trying to stop a bee bee through a hurricane fence) but from a behavioral standpoint in certain settings, I've seen masks keep certain individuals at bay. In my office the usual crowd to spread germs and colds are fat women with kids. They want to be up in your face chatty cathy style and coughing with no damn tact and refuse to use a sick day, but with masks they generally stay in their offices when coughing and actually take a sick day off when needed.

Masks give people a false sense of protection which makes them more dangerous.

29 weeks pregnant and she’s worried that her boyfriend may put her at risk.

Adds up here.

I thought this the first go round. I honestly never thought that Americans would sit back and allow the government to tell them what to do to that extent, especially after it became obnoxiously clear that the "two weeks to flatten the curve" was just a shell game. But they did it without much of a whimper.

Sadly, I'm not surprised at this point. There's clearly a segment of society that will never remove them ever again, and honestly if you take many of these authoritarian politicians at their word, it only makes sense that people wear them forever. After all...what right does someone have to breathe their air droplets near someone else?!? Even after Covid, there is and always was communicable diseases which can be spread via air particles. Only makes sense to wear a mask...

People have very little capacity to even have a rational discussion about masks. It's one of the most bizarre things I have ever experienced. If we had mask mandates that required N95 masks, I would begrudgingly comply. But the way it's being done is all theater.

Completely agree. That is why I where the neck gaiters when I absolutely have to where a mask since they are more comfortable. I give two craps about any of these things effectiveness. I am just trying to appease retards at that point to get a task done.

Actually this was my Covid red pill some 18 mo ago when there was no standard mask protocol yet there was mask mandates. I knew they were not serious and this was not a real crisis.
