I just sprayed a bunch in flowerbeds and on cracks in concrete driveway then decided to read afterwards about how safe it is. I see there are a bunch of lawsuits due to it causing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and they’re changing the formula? Do y’all use personally? I think from what I’m reading it’s mostly linked to long-term use and exposure.

Use the crap out of it.

I don't drink it or bathe in it though.

I spray about 50 gallons a year on fence line and ditches. I’m sure I’ll die of something doubt it will be round up.

We use hundreds of gallons per year. Don’t be an idiot and you’ll be fine

I bought a precut unfinished 6' piece of 1x12 from Home Depot the other day and it had a sticker on it saying it is known to cause cancer in California.

Glyphosate is totally safe. It breaks down in the soil and doesn’t get into the water system. It’s a great chemical and it works well. The only risk is if you spray it on yourself.Don’t spray anything on yourself.

I grew up on a farm and ended many days soaked in various chemicals, roundup included. Still have only 2 eyes and 10 fingers and toes.

I use it all the time when I need it to kill the grass around the perimeter of my property, around garden beds and driveway/sidewalk cracks.

Thing is, I don't use enough of it often enough to make it be any concern to me. At most, I use it 3-4 times a year and usually no more than 2 gallons at a time through a home pump sprayer, so no heavy atomizing that lingers in the air as it goes directly on the target.

I liken it to smoking a pack of cigarettes a year and worrying about getting cancer from it-------hardly likely.

At home? Sure, but I try to not do it when its windy, I dont want it killing stuff I didnt indent to kill (overspray drift).

At the farm? Hell yes. Usually spray about 2700 gallons a year, but I have a cab tractor...

If I am spraying ditches, fences or sides of roads i'll usually add crossbow to it. Gly+24d will kill just about anything you spray it on.
