Is no one going to bring up that Devonta Smith had 3-5 drops on his own preseason debut and that maybe there’s no actual correlation or evidence that any of this matters to their performance

I think Chase is going to come around and I don't think this will impact him long term at all.

But, Chase himself has pointed to sitting out as hindering him. You don't have to pretend there are ZERO impacts of sitting out to make the case that Chase will ultimately not be harmed by it.

Some of you guys seem to have to lie to yourself.

I remember seeing a story on Jerry Rice. According to the show, he also had a really bad training camp and first few games.

lol it’s only been 3 preseason games after a year off

Did you not expect this?

Do you think a team making a multi million dollar investment didn’t think this?

At least give him until the end of year 1 man

I’m not one of you old farts. And that would have nothing to do with this argument anyway.

Love Jamar and was a huge fan of his play in 2019. He was a special receiver.

But let us never forget he quit on this team. QUIT. Maybe for personal or maybe bc he was mad at O. Regardless of circumstances, he quit. We were hammering Simone Biles just a couple weeks ago for quitting—why is this different?

Hasn’t played a meaningful snap of football yet but he’s “balling out”? Dumb shite

I’m aware that I don’t live his life.

I’m also aware that his decision to quit could effect future tigers and we should be in their ear telling them- look, it isn’t a good decision quit if you have a good sophomore year.

Jamar himself said he’s having a mental battle with the game right now. Something about quitting on your team and sitting out seems incredibly soft and it’s actively effecting his psyche.

I think he shakes it off but he looked scared of contact and he’s struggling in practice.

That’s not the Jamar we saw in 2019 and I think if he played that’s not the Jamar we would be seeing right now

Ok, so in reality this is more about LSU rather than Chase's decision to do with his life what he wants. So like I said if not playing last year impacts his football productivity this year, that is on him.

But again you linked this to how it impacts LSU, which I suspected was the case. Football is changing, college that is. So you either accept it or stop watching because it is not going back to what it was.

Last year was just a crazy year, maybe Chase just did not want to go through COVID-19 protocols every day and was told that regardless he will be a top 5 pick which he was. As for current LSU players, I personally don't see anyone on LSU's team that could sit out this year and be a top 4 pick next year, that includes Stingley. Based on his performance last year, I don't think he is a top 15 pick and if he were not to play this year, he In my view is not even a top 20 pick. Now, if he plays this year up to his 1st year and to his talent level, yes he can be a top 10 pick next April.

I'm touched for your level of alarm for a multi-billion dollar corporate concern. I can see your heart is in the right place.

Y'all are pitiful.

It was the best decision a college athlete has ever made in regards to his pro career. The draft proved that.

At the time he made his decision, multiple big conferences weren't even going to play at all. Ended up being a pointless, asterisk joke of a season where only a dozen teams even tried.

But keep screaming on the internet about people being quitters because you're disappointed about your own lives.

Right. The "impact" is a few weeks of getting back in the flow. The horror.

What an absolute load of bullshite. She's shown more mental toughness and resolve in her short life than any of you frickers will ever dream of even just deluding yourselves about showing personally.

I bet if you were Biles you would’ve won all the golds. Damn man you are so tough and mentally strong. Give yourself a hand. Well done!

The overreactions of couch athletes always crack me up. One preseason game, lol. You really think Chase is having second thoughts about sitting out the Covid season? His decision has already paid off with his draft position. Nothing he does on the field this year would have any impact. He’s paid.
