What pisses me off more about the video is the guy not trying to stop the dog at first and not putting whatever he was holding down to use both arms to help get the dog off of the little girl.

That’s my go-to plan if something like that ever happens to me or someone I’m with. I feel like it has to work at least a little. Just try to grab its head and jam my thumbs as far as they will go.
Backup plan is grabbing the hind legs and slamming it into the ground over and over like a sledgehammer.
Other than that I hope I can choke it out or strangle it to death. Just hope my adrenalin is rolling to help me with it.

Most people don’t get it, panic, and just don’t have the survival instinct. Will the dog frick you up? Yes, a lot. You’ll most likely end up in the hospital. Can you kill that devil? Heck yes. A human is a very dangerous animal.

I mean that's basically how Mike Vick and his pals got rid of pits that didn't fight. Look up the court documents. Terrible but also shows how how freakishly strong those guys are.

If you do manage to somehow grab the hind legs of the fresh pit bull coming straight at you; you have to swing it high enough to do enough damage on impact to make a difference. During that upswing...gotta think you're gonna get your face ripped off.
I've always thought I'd try to kick the frick out of it on the way in, if it doesn't do anything which is likely, it's then latched on my leg, which is much better than it being latched on my arms near my upper body. My arms are then free to whale on the thing, eye gouge it, destroy whatever I can.. hopefully I can use my other knee to somehow pin it during all this.
I've thought about this way too much.

Problem with pit bulls is once they latch on to a limb they are pretty comfortable at that point, no matter what you do to them with hands or feet. They may feel something but don't give a shite at that point. You have to have a blunt or sharp weapon, if not a gun.
