Seems the only way to actually win a war nowadays would be to rain down nukes, but that would be pretty bad for everyone. Especially if that war was with another nuclear power or some country with close ties to a nuclear power.

We were holding that country with only 2500 troops for the last 7 months.

Passed the baton to 300,000 Afghan troops and they couldn’t even make it a whole week

Why are we still even in Iraq? What would happen if we left Iraq? I feel like if we pulled out, Iraq and the Middle East might really blow up, but I don’t think we should still be over there

USA didn't lose no war. U.S. took over Afghanistan like it was amateur hour. Did what they wanted for 20 years and the Taliban didn't do shite. But at the end of the day you have to give the country back to the locals and let them run it. The fact Afghans didn't wanna fight and got taken over is a different story. USA could have held that country for eternity and probably would have if it had any importance. When the Taliban defeat a heavily occupied U.S. presence then give me a call. Not this shite where the locals let them in after U.S. army already left.

Our military is a disgrace. Those that run it need to be run out of town and replaced with America loving patriots

I have news for you. We have never lost a war yet. We’ve lost the will to continue fighting, but our military has not lost a war. Even in Vietnam, we didn’t lose the war. Matter of fact, we never lost a damn battle. We became weak minded and lost the will to fight, brought out troops home, but the military didn’t lose the war. Losing a war means you capitulate and sign terms of surrender. That’s not happened. That’s never happened.

I don't think there is any question we are weaker than we used to be, politics aside.

We have allowed the SJW world to infiltrate our military, it can only get worse from here.

No, America won them. Filthy fricking Democrats found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Democrats are the enemy within.

We didn't lose Afghanistan. We turned the country back of their "security forces". They were the ones that lost the war.

FIFY. Those Ls are solidly in the politicians and citizens of the USA at least a certain sector of the citizenry. Well no, all the citizens because those who were for winning weren’t loud enough to drown out the losers.

Patton had it right back in 1945 after Germany surrendered.

We already had the equipment and men in Europe we should have went ahead and annihilated Russia and then the rest of Asia. Became the dictatorship of earth and we wouldn’t have all the uprisings and wars that’s happened since WW2

I’m starting to come around to the position that this Afghanistan mission was designed only to shovel huge money to military contractors.

From that cynical perspective, the 20 year “mission” was a smashing success.
