Maybe you have kids. Or you couldn’t resist slipping a few treats out of the feedsack. Perhaps you were at a drive in movie.
McDonald’s has a team that analyzes new vehicles each year to verity it’s fries will be able to slip between the seat and console and also make the turn to land in the seat track.

when i was in my 20s and 30s it was pretty standard to find a few under the seats
but i keep my vehicles cleaner now and mainly eat at home with few exceptions

I just shove the whole McDonald's bag under the seat when I get it to save time.
