Not Enough Research of the Protection Levels of Natural Immunity of Infection

Looking through article after article and document after document on line, it appears every article on natural immunity has this statement attached in some form or fashion.
This virus has been around for over 1.5yrs. The US currently has 3 vaccines in circulation that have received enough testing and evaluation to come to a conclusion that they provide effective protection against serious issues related to Covid. Yet in that same amount of time, the medical community has not come to any conclusion on the effectiveness of natural immunity? Does that seem odd to anyone?
The medical community can give an efficacy value for each type of vaccine for both preventing serious illness and preventing infection of varies strains but they have come to NO CONCLUSION about what type of protection natural immunity provides?
What are the holdups? Why can they figure out the efficacy of the vaccines so quickly but not natural immunity?

Because there is no financial incentive to conduct such a study.

The govt can literally print $ to have a study performed.

But, if they get the results many people suspect; then the decision makers in Congress can no longer line their pockets and control the peasants with the current COVID crisis.

He’s talking about the private companies selling the vaccines

For one thing, calibrating the viral load each person received. How the hell do you determine that?

Frankly, for this sort of virus, robust and long standing resistance for future infections is sort of presumed until data suggests otherwise.
I want to say that's the harmless answer as to why no research, but the realist in me knows it is because there is literally no money in such research.
I'm a die hard capitalist, but this is one of its weaknesses - take out the profit motive from anything and it tends to just fall by the wayside.
Sort of like our haphazard system tends to incentivize bad/risky financial decisions by bailing folks out of them - and this goes from billionaires all the way down to the street. Perverse incentivization gets you more of the problem you were trying to solve.

You only get protection potentially if you had a substantial case of Covid? Does that mean simply having the antibodies doesn’t mean much if you came in contact with the virus a second time?

I think the problem is that there are likely a lot of false positive tests out there, so you can't really study the effectiveness of prior infection if you can't be sure who was really infected.

Could you do more than 1 test to confirm? Just seems like the response is we think there is protection and chance of reinfection seems rare but we really don’t know how to confirm so just go and get the vaccine just to be sure.

they will pivot to this research eventually (1-2 years)
then big pharma will promote therapeutics
then the same vaccine sheep will switch narratives

I will find out here shortly. Had Covid last august and was exposed last Wednesday. Today is day 5 and I am scheduled to get another Covid test in 15 minutes.
Have zero systems on day 5. Last time at day 3 I had a fever and by day 5 I had leg/hip pains.
But what does the vaccine give I that natural immunity doesn’t…… history should tell you natural immunity is better the vaccine based immunity.

Also go look at the axle and Clinic study. Said natural immunity was slightly higher (within margin of error) the vaccine immunity

Also it sucks that we "protected" all the kids last year with the crazy mask wearing and quarantines in schools if they tested positive or came in close contact with someone that did. That initial virus wasn't causing symptoms in kids. And now that Delta and other variants are affecting kids, we're screwed because they didn't really have a chance to build up any natural immunity from catching it naturally last year.

Came to say this. Its hard to charge somene, or in this case the government, for something their body made on its own.

yup that's gotta be the biggest goof in hindsight

If non-vaccinated people were getting reinfected at a high rate, you would 100% be hearing about it in tge media. The fact that the number isn't being reported leads me to believe it's sub 1%

They are afraid people will have COVID parties if they make that information known. So they hide behind "we don't know".
Just like when Fauci "lied" about masks not working in March of last year. He claims he "lied" on purpose to keep the public from making a run on masks. They are more than happy to admit they will lie to you to "keep you safe™". (The reality of masks is that they have known all along they don't work, they are using masks to shift the blame from them fricking up the initial response last year. So instead of them looking bad, you will now blame your neighbor.)

Same with me 2 weeks ago.
I had COVID in Dec 2020 and was sick for a week. Nothing bad just flu like symptoms.
Aug 3rd this year was in a meeting with the board members of our company and sat between two people for about 1.5 hours who tested positive for COVID the next day (They had symptoms and shouldn't have to come to the meeting but that is a different subject)
Company policy that anyone exposed wait 3 days and get tested. I waited the 3 days COVID negative!
It is now almost 2 weeks with zero COVID symptoms.
I know I was in close enough contact to get infected.

Natural immunity is free.
The government also is not able to track it.
