eta: i think this is more of their song that they are going to use to advertise the games during the week more than the gameday intro. either way its the worst song ESPN has chosen

That song was cheesy as frick but it was their trademark. Dumb decision, especially with that bullshite they replaced it with.

The worst is SEC on CBS every season uses some shitty country song, as if SEC fans are all a bunch of trash who listens to that garbage.

lmao why are you so upset with country music?
everyone has been waiting for them to use the new NBA youngboy track to intro into a football game.

The murder rate would soar if they allowed that to happen.
The world isn't ready for NBA youngboy hyping up football. They need to keep playing it safe and just keep giving rent checks to Imagine Dragons.

I hate that song and the two douche bags that sing it wayyyy more than what I would consider to be healthy

Actual country is fine.
Bro country sucks.

Have they dropped Cuck Heibstreit yet?

IF that is the new intro for College Gameday, then it will be the worst one they've ever had.
Since there was absolutely no mention of Gameday, I don't think it is. Seems like this is just what they are going to use for commercials, the same way they used "Centuries" in the past.

College football fanbase is overall heavy suburban, rural and white.
ESPN: Let's play rap music.

Big and Rich, regardless of their quality, would not be considered Bro Country. At least "Comin to your city" wouldnt fall in that category.
Bro country doesnt just mean "any modern country song i hate that i deem not country enough".
Its a very specific subgenre.

Purely political, ESPN can’t have John Rich anywhere on their network because he isn’t a communist.

It wasn’t THAT bad IMO.
CBS has missed the mark basically every season with a country song.
