Glen Logan is out with a broken bone in his foot. Ed O said he should be back some point in the season. That combined with Eric Taylor’s transfer begins to put a lil more attention on LSU’s interior DL depth.
LSU was three deep EASILY, but now one game injury could really be impactful. Group still looks strong, but Logan’s injury hurts.UCLA is an uptempo offense.

Order may not be correct, but it’s looking something like this now.

1st: Evans, Farrell
2nd: Roy, Smith
3rd: Guillory

Tons of depth. Not a problem. It would possibly hurt if he missed the whole season, but he'll come back from that in eight weeks ready to go and to fill in for whomever is dinged up at that time.

Langston also will play DT some, he's 6'3 280+.

This could easily be flipped. Thats why this isnt a terrible concern at this point.

He arguably has the most significant experience and history of good play. There is NO substitute for experience and he was likely going to be a starter on the DL. So it is not an insignificant injury.

Luckily, it appears DT is LSU deepest position so (assuming they can avoid additional injuries) they probably have the bodies to hold on until he can return. Roy looks like the best DT of the bunch. Of course, that's without having seen Smith play a college game yet.

Man I actually forgot Farrell was still here - I think he and Roy will be the top 2 inside

I'm interested to see if Guillory can push his way into some playing time. He's a bull.

Get that arse” package going to be BJ, Gaye, Smith, and Roy.

Watch for freshman Jones also. Dude has put on some muscle since getting there.

Getting him back will be nice though. Keeping those guys fresh can wear down an opposing team’s offense. Also if we are expecting to score a lot the defense may be on the field a lot more so having guys fresh is a great commodity

Smith has been listed as a NT, but it's my understanding that he can also play in the 3-tech. That gives you some flexibility.

It’s a loss that hurts, but not too bad. At this point, id rather the young bucks get more run and hopefully get him back for the Bama game where we need all the fresh DL we can get.

It’s amazing how well O has shored up that position. We are stacked like cordwood.

A bone in the foot of a 300 lb man will not be rushed. He will be out of game shape.

I can't remember the last time I was this excited about watching out DL play. We'll be able to throw body after body at OLs. Our guys will still be fresh going into those later quarters
