To hell with that. I say teach your kids to shake the world and not to live in fear. Teach them common sense, and to always question authority. Never be a sheep.

How ironic considering your local teacher can be found complaining online at just about any point time over the past year and a half.

My boy went back this morning. I’ve been expecting a call since. He’s strong willed and holds to his convictions but he won’t be an a-hole about it unless provoked by assholes.

Translation:

Please don’t tell your kids how terrible I am at my job.

In June, teachers were defending their summers off by saying they don’t get paid for summers (despite annualized salaries), then at the end of July they were complaining about going back to work.

They were oblivious to the irony.

We're open about certain ethnic groups falling behind.
Why not focus on increased teaching, rather than "social" issues?

“Kids, comply. Don’t challenge the status quo.”

Professor Keating is weeping. “No captain my captain.”

^^^ Yeah, no. ^^^

I've only got one kid left in school and she knows my opinions. I don't force them on her, and I encourage her to form her own as well, but she's kinda a chip off the ol block as they say.

She's in a very conservative school that actually doesn't participate in the indoctrination other schools push, but I still asked what she wanted to do in case the school decided to mandate masks or vaccines.

She simply replied, "You and Mom can home school me. I learn better away from all the other kids anyway."

A senior in HS, and she feels that strongly about it. And FWIW, she's on the fast track to going to college for forensic psychology and has a high IQ so she's not an idiot like some of you will say.
