You can't just work all the time. You have to take time to grieve at some point. I won't judge if the decision was right or wrong for Terry to return to practice today, but I hope he does take some time to mourn.

I am sure that it hasn't hit Terry just yet but who knows when it will? You can't just shut yourself out from the world, get busy living or get busy dying.

clearly i don't know what he's thinking, but this is a situation where grieving could have already taken place for the most part

With his dad being sick for a while, I imagine this is something he has been preparing for a while and already made peace in his mind.

Sometimes getting back to work is a coping mechanism. That's not my style necessarily, but I certainly respect others who can do it

Terry might burst out with a Florida Evans during practice one days soon

I had a parent die of cancer. Passed away right as my work schedule was about to pick up. After the funeral, was back on the grind and as soon as work slowed down a little bit, sh*t hit me like a ton of bricks. Was messed up for a while after that. Don't know if taking some time to grief right after would have been better but I feel like putting it off definitely intensified it.
