Just take the loss. Everyone knows what you are trying to say, but you are not using the proper denominator in your division attempt

Regardless, how the hell do you go down 5 then up 147 in consecutive days?
That is some frickery

I would think it probably has to do with lagging factors. If you are bad enough to hit the hospital it usually isn't with a day or two of diagnosis. I would imagine you are a week of battling before hospitalization becomes a possibility.

I think hospital reporting on utilizations is very variable
We only report to state once a week i think

pride, do you have any info on getting the 2nd shot if you got covid after the 1st shot?
some things online say wait 90 days, some say get the second shot after fully recovered. I didn't receive any infusion or anything

Pride isn’t a Dr. Tiguar and Cosmo, I believe are Drs. Fwiw, I’m not sure you need a 2nd shot at all if you had 1 and then got Covid.

thanks. only concern is whether or not I actually had covid. symptoms were very mild (sinus drainage, etc) but lost smell for a few days and tested positive
I guess I could test for antibodies in a week or so

Yet the media is focusing their COVID coverage on The South.
The south has been the undisputed hot spot this wave. The downward trend is very promising.

Up to him who he wants to go with, as I am sure you can get opinions saying all kinda of things. But the medical consensus is take the shots, both of them, once covid symptoms are improved
90 day wait is only for those who took the infusion cocktail because of passthrough immunity

this is what I thought. trying to get in touch with my doctor to ask but he (understandably) is a tough guy to get ahold of currently

I’ve heard that nurse staffing has been an issue in La for sometime but I’m sure the current situation has exacerbated the problem.
It has been a problem for a while. When I had hospitalizations prior to Covid times, there would be times when I was finally moved to the floor for inpatient, easily half the rooms were out of service and I would have to wait hours to get admitted. Sometimes even half a day in the ER.

since my covid experience was a very mild one, I'd rather just go ahead and get the next shot as scheduled on the slim chance it was a false positive even though I did lose smell

I thought they stopped reporting on the weekends. Isn't the Friday number the same until the noon report on the following Monday?
This is so confusing. All I know is I sure hope you're right! LDH noted 16,541 new cases from over the weekend. I know some are "probable" but dang. That's a huge number by any standard.

Rt is the average number of people who will become infected by a person infected at time t. If it’s above 1.0, COVID-19 cases will increase in the near future. If it’s below 1.0, COVID-19 cases will decrease in the near future
I think shutdowns probably do little more than hurt businesses but I am also not sure people who think shutdowns help will see what the data suggests as an indication they should not shut things down.
But I sure hope they do not shut things down again.

Why haven't they updated it today yet?
