Why do you keep making bullshite declarations then coming back with qualifiers later? If it’s “most” then say that up front.
What an odd comment.

Sabes Que's premise was that the vaccine does not prevent infection. That is a false premise.

Does the vaccine prevent contraction of CV19? Of course it does.

On the other hand, potato brain claiming it does so in 100% of cases is a comment one would expect from a potato brain.

NBC is practically synonymous with those 2.

There's no vaccine for extreme bias available yet either.

What source is good enough? Arkansas Department of Health? Tennessee? Alaska? The data in that link came from various health departments.

Practically indeed. Even with rampant censorship, there are still conservative contributions on FB and Twitter. Virtually no conservative views alight in NBC "Newsrooms"

Why don’t we just use his own words?
quote:

“They” admit that getting the vaccine doesn’t stop one from getting or spreading the virus, rather it just reduces symptoms.

To which you replied
quote:

False

They are admitting exactly what he said. Later you had to admit that it was “in most cases”. Stop means it stops something from happening, period, end of sentence. It’s a different claim from “stops in most cases” or “greatly reduces” or any other euphemism you want to use for “less than 100% but greater than 60%” or whatever the latest moving target is. If you claim a vaccine works, you’re implying nobody will get sick. It doesn’t do that, authorities are admitting it doesn’t do that, which is exactly what he said.

It reduces the chance of spreading.

It also lowers the chance of dying

This vaccine is a political football.

If you are comfortable, get the shot.

If you are not comfortable, refrain!

Horns, based on that post, you wouldn't know a "bad-faith argument" if it came from a street walker given a Jackson and claiming she's "in love with you honey" and wants a long-term relationship.

It is absolutely FALSE.
Link the CDC's comment in that regard.
Link the NIH making that statement.

From the CDC website, guidance for fully vaccinated people:
quote:

To maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.

So is it still FALSE in all caps, or do you have more qualifiers?

What rate of transmission in vaccinated people is the cuttoff for ultimately breading a super bug?

that's not true at all and is an absurd suggestion that you wouldn't apply to anything else.

blood pressure meds work, yet no medications are 100% effective 100% of the time. You would be implying no medications work.
Seatbelts save lives. some people still die wearing seatbelts. You would be implying seatbelts don't work.
no one needs to qualify those statements, its unreasonable to assume a seatbelt makes you invincible.

quote:

vaccine - a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.

the vaccine works especially in the context of its definition. providing immunity does not imply 100% that the protection cannot be overwhelmed. you are the one moving goalposts by suggesting the vaccine must be 100% effective, which was literally never a reasonable understanding when they are mentioned to be effective.
