What are your favorite and least favorite sandwiches from various cities or regions across the U.S.?

For example:

New Orleans po boy
New Orleans muffaletta
Miami Cuban
Maine lobster roll
Baltimore pit beef sandwich
Chicago Italian beef sandwich
Pittsburgh - Primanti's Pittsburgh sandwich
Philadelphia cheesesteak
Louisville Kentucky hot brown

Feel free to add more.

Love lobster rolls. Had a couple really good ones in Boston but not yet in Maine (going next summer though ). Also hard to beat a proper cheesesteak.

Don’t hate them but not a real big muffaletta fan. Just a weird sandwich to me and not my thing.

Would a Reuben be considered a regional sandwich?

Philly cheesesteak... I’m ok with the thin sliced grilled meats, onions ,but that jar chee whiz gotta go. Now put some mayo in that hogie bread, add some provolone cheese and perhaps some hot giardiniera and you would have iconic.

Is that style popular at other places throughout the region or is it pretty much just unique to that place (recognizing they have several locations)?

OP needs to add a FL Panhandle grilled grouper to the list.

That's a good question. Now that I think of it, I don't see as many places offering it in the South. If I'm in NYC, I'm thinking Reuben sandwich.

For the best it’s a toss up between a true New Orleans style roast beef poboy where the gravy is dripping down to your elbows, or a Texas moist chopped brisket sandwich with pickle, onion, and sharp cheddar.

Least favorite for me would be the Mufaletta because of the olives.

Haven't been to all those cities, I don't usually travel to cities, but I doubt there is anything on there that I'd dislike. I have noticed Primanti's getting negative reports on the board over time, so maybe that's one.

You could include a New York Reuben. They're really good but with so much stacked on, you don't get the mix of flavors in every bite.
