Covid Outbreak Hits Carnival Cruise Despite Every Guest & Staff Being Vaccinated
ZERO unvaccinated aboard. It goes against the narrative that the reason for “breakthrough cases” is too many unvaccinated people.
A strict face mask policy was implemented.

How severe is it?
I’m vaccine free but this could be a poster child for why covid fear needs to go away.
I mean, do they basically have low grade fevers with common cold symptoms?
If so, frick it. Everyone go about their lives without fear or peer pressuring folks to do something they don’t wanna do.

They will still blame the unvaccinated.

This has to go viral, will be funny to see their talking point on this one

How does it go against anything?
Having a vaccine doesn't mean it still can't spread. Vaccines aren't 100% effective - they're 95% effective so there's a chance that the virus spreads between two vaccinated people.
It's perfectly explainable and to be expected. Not sure it proves anything when everyone knows that vaccinations aren't 100% effective.
I thought everyone knew that.

I would imagine the same way it is being explained in the other thread.

Big Tech will suppress it.

“We have implemented our new fleetwide mask policy early on Carnival Vista, given that we are managing a small number of positive cases on board.
Notice how they call it a “small number of positive cases” while giving no indication of what “small” means to them. Is it 2? 10? 50? Considering the massive ship can hold over 4,000 people, “small” could mean anything. Every mainstream story we’ve seen this morning has blindly accepted and even highlighted the phrase “small number” without inquiry into exact numbers. This is not journalism. It’s narrative-building.

Lot of old people on cruises, how many have died aboard this cruise so far from the covid? From what I have heard is that you can still get the covid even with the shot (though less likely), but if you get it it will be less severe. Anyway, not really the best time to be going on cruises with the Delta variant raging. Just seems really dumb to go on a cruise right now

Sneezed on by an unvaxxed dock and worker.

How many people are normally lost during a cruise?
10-12?
10-12?

We aren’t 2 weeks from the President* stating
you can’t catch the virus if you’re vaxxed. Many people still believe this & believe only unvaxxed can spread it.

A month and a half ago, your statements would not have been deemed true because the narrative was much different.

sounds like the jab ,(wont call it a vax ,cuz it is not).is the spreader .still using PCR tests? after the FDA admits they dont work

I still think the vaccine is overall a good thing, but if you think you can’t catch it if you are vaccinated, you are not paying attention.

The president was probably making a generalization rather than expecting to be interpreted literally I'd presume. I assume he'd change his words if he knew it was being interpreted in a literal sense.
For the vast majority of people, you won't catch the virus if you're vaxxed. But for a tiny minority, the vaccine isn't effective and hence will spread.

The information from the pharmaceutical companies has always been that vaccines aren't 100% effective.
The trials themselves and the NY Times published the results that the vaccines aren't 100% effective. There was a whole period where people were comparing the effectiveness of different vaccines and the benefit of 2nd versus 1st dose.

The problem is the politics about the Vaxx
MSM/politicians putting Vaxx vs Unvaxx against each other is ridiculous.
I’m in no way Anti-Vaxx…but I was very hesitant with this Vaccination. I waited to see results and it’s hard to argue against the numbers of Hospitalizations of Vaxx and Unvaxx. Those numbers lead me to get it a couple weeks ago.
I’m 1000% against any Mandate to get it and think all employers should be sued by forcing employees to get it under the fear of Termination.
If Fauci / CDC didn’t flip flop on “science” and politicians/msm didnt politicize the Vaxx (DEMs campaigning against any Vaxx with Trump) or saying Covid is getting worse Bc of Unvaxx…(just ignoring vaccinated ppl can transmit just as easily) causes Vaxx hesitation.
If the messaging had been clear, no flip flopping (Fauci playing CYA), more would get it

I would need to be able to see the numbers to accurately answer your question.
If there is 400 people on the cruise ship and 20 people get Covid, that's right in line with the vaccine and effectiveness of 95%.
Now if it's 100 people, then yeah, no clue.
