UEFA teams will play just as many, if not more, minnows as we will.

I always get a kick out of Brazil in these. Most consistently overrated country the past 20 years

And UEFA has already played the first 2-3 rounds of their group stage.

Have you looked at how they have to qualify? The group winners only have to play one or two top-50 teams.

Their group winners only have to play 8 or 10 games and they have already played 2 or 3 of those.

Sucks for Spain that they made it to the Euro semis, lost in penalties and dropped a spot

Going by the May 2021 FIFA rankings here's our group:

11, 20, 45, 50, 67, 69, 70, 78. We have played zero games so far.

Here's the UEFA groups based on the same rankings.

D: 2, 24, 54, 55, 124
E: 1, 17, 40, 89, 116
F: 10, 23, 44, 85, 113, 177
G: 16, 29, 42, 64, 138, 195
H: 14, 36, 38, 63, 97, 175
I: 4, 21, 37, 66, 158, 210
J: 12, 43, 52, 62, 90, 186

Yes, they may play 2 higher ranked teams in the next round, but that also means some highly ranked teams get eliminated.
