Does this open the door to request that employers make known the status of other employees health conditions in regards to other communicable disease? Can we demand that the company start to develop policies to section off employees that have/had any other disease or illness that could be spread? Seems like if they want to know my vax status for this then I should be able to know what other potential threats are in my place of work.

Rational people aren't quitting (good paying) jobs over a vaccine.

All of that is between you and your employer.

Your employer in an at will state can already require just about anything he wants that doesn’t violate the few specific exceptions established by law. At will employment is a broad brush.
The vaccine mandates doesn’t really change anything. He can in large part already hire or fire you based on his arbitrary preferences and whims, etc.
Here’s the issue. If I’m going in for an interview it’s no business of my potential employer to know anything about my medical history. They can do a criminal background check, drug screening, etc. but my medical history is personal. If we allow employers to decide whether or not to hire a candidate based on the candidate’s medical history everything changes.

So you'll believe that the vaccine that the government is mandating is safe when the government says that it's safe.

Yes, it's legal I'm afraid.
In Dallas as nearly all the hospitals in DFW are requiring all staff be vaccinated or be terminated. That's nearly 100 hospitals including 10 major Trauma Centers.

I mean I've seen places not hire you because you're a smoker. I don't mean like on the clock i mean that if you work there you're not allowed to smoke ever. Fireable event of you go to a bar drink a little and have a smoke with it.
They reasoned it helped them offer cheaper healthcare and better public image

Here you go

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/judge-tosses-houston-hospital-workers-lawsuit-over-vaccine-requirement-2021-06-13/
And while they haven’t been in court yet, WalMart,Tyson, and other massive corporations are implementing vaccine mandates, they would not do that if they thought they would lose lawsuits over it.

yesterday morning I heard that flights in Dallas were cancelled due to local weather....it rained on Monday but no major thunderstorm. It definitely made me wonder what was being hidden...
Makes sense they can be hiding the backlash.

I won't even consider getting vaxxed if I see people dying in the streets of COVID-19/Flu.
Never. Gonna. Happen.

I would not be surprised to see OSHA making some rules concerning this type of thing that could put pressure on employers as well...
I think the same coming from insurance companies. Either way I think OSHA came out saying that if companies do mandate it then an employee can go after workers comp if they have a bad reaction.

Yes, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Honestly, I think they have gotten so powerful they could have conservative men sucking cocks in public to keep their corporate jobs by 2022.

After this, "I'm sorry, you cannot bank with us if you are not vaccinated "

Well lucky for you we once had a President named Barrack Hussein Obama who believed we should decouple your health care from your employment status. So Obama and the democrats passed a bill to create a marketplace where individual Americans could directly purchase health insurance irrespective of employment status.
Yes, we all owe a great debt of gratitude to President Obama for getting the yoke of employer provider health care of our backs (really we owe this gratitude to Mitt Romney but everyone already knows he’s a great statesman).

I wonder what happens to an employer who asks a candidate during employment screening if they were a practicing homosexual? Let’s say this employer has health insurance data that supports his position that gay men have more medical costs due to their homosexuality, would that be acceptable?
From the CDC …….
Just like all other men, gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men need to know how to protect their health throughout their life. For all men, heart disease and cancer are the leading causes of death. However, compared to other men, gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men are additionally affected by:
Higher rates of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs);
Tobacco and drug use;
Depression.
There are many reasons why gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men may have higher rates of HIV and STDs. Some of them are:
Prevalence of HIV among sexual partners of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men is 40 times that of sexual partners of heterosexual men;
Receptive anal sex is 18 times more risky for HIV acquisition than receptive vaginal sex;
Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men on average have a greater number of lifetime sexual partners.

If he wants it to be his business, it’s quite literally his business. It’s also totally within your prerogative to refuse to give the information. No one, employer included, is forcing you to give the information.

Per Google for what it’s worth….
Your medical records are confidential and an employer's request for more information is generally only considered reasonable when it is required to determine, for example from a health and safety perspective, whether you are fit to return to work or to carry out moderated duties.
……………………………
If you want to make an argument that an employer is worried about the safety of their employees and they need to know if any employee has a communicable disease that may infect others…..oh boy, what a can of worms. There’s so much blood borne illness or other bodily fluids that people are not currently being tested for that I could make a strong case present a risk to other employees.
The fact many of the force vaccinators are wanting people who have already had Covid19 vaccinated is strange indeed, considering most medical experts agree their protection is better than someone who’s been vaccinated.

Employers have been requiring pre- employment physicals forever, and there are plenty of job applicants that are not hired because of the results of that physical and associated tests. The last company that hired me required a complete physical with typical blood work, a TB test, a pulmonary function test, a tetanus shot, and to take the HepC vaccine. This was to work as a engineering manager.
