with screws and plates, it will take about 6 to 8 weeks of healing with his age, physical fitness and current treatments. I would expect him to be on the practice field in shells within 5 to 6 weeks running through no contact skill drills if he wishes. The fracture, barring complications, will be healed within two months. I could see Myles being on the field by mid October. He will be in a cast and sling for several weeks to stabilize the fracture, but will still be able to maintain some conditioning that does not require a lot of balance...speed walking, slow jogging, leg work on equipment, etc. I am no doctor; this info came from my friend who is an orthopedic surgeon and has dealt with many fractures such as this.

If max looks good.. and is running the offense well, Myles won’t come in and start just because his name is Myles

Not rooting against myles.. but I hope max comes in and fricking kills it

He is going to contend with Alan Moore’s record and sport the medical red shirt this year

When I said "on the field"; I meant dressed out and ready to play if needed. I concure. I hope Max takes the reins and does not let go.

Max throws behind his receivers a lot, hope he worked on that during the off season.

Max beat FLA and Ole Miss in his only 2 starts last year as an 18 year old true freshman. Apparently he doesn't have too much to correct.

Love dark horses. If lord help us Max should get hurt, Myles doesn't get well enough, and Nuss is not the answer would love to see this walk on O'Dowd come in and become a Cinderella story. Would be great for us and a great football story.

Hope Max stays healthy I have faith that he's da man.

I hate this for Brennan. But, if he's ever back on the field in an LSU uniform, this year or next, it means that Max sputtered and we needed relief under center. I'd much rather Max lead this team to the playoffs than for Myles to be back on the field for LSU to try righting the ship. Sad for Myles, and I hope the best for him, but it is what it is.

If he left, id still cheer for him.

But what do we do when Walker Howard gets here?

If he sticks with this team he’s man on mission. If he takes a medical redshirt this year he still has 2 years left because of covid?

Haha how do you know what kind of fracture it is? Is it Proximal? 2,3,4 part fracture. Any of these he’s out for the year. Is it a shaft fracture? Maybe he comes back at some point during the year, but will not be anywhere close to game ready at all. Better just move on and act like he’s not on the roster.

My concern is that if he does leave, he could end up playing against us. I don’t think Myles Brennan is going to leave and wind up at Nicholls. There are plenty of P5 programs, including in the SEC, that would take a flyer on him if he decided to transfer.

I like to think that wouldn’t happen, and that there’s a reason he stuck around all this time. But who knows - if he does transfer, I’d assume he’s probably going to take the best opportunity he can find.

It’s a damn hairline guarantee. You don’t misplace a bone skiing it’s a hairline fracture but he’s still done for the year 3 months out Max ain’t sitting after that

I'm pretty sure if it's a hairline fracture, it wouldn't need surgery.
