May want to look at Vegas. Some rumors starting to float it may be moved.

A few people on this board keep saying this, but are there "rumors" about this from any other source? I find the idea of the game being moved to Las Vegas exceedingly unlikely. People forget that this is not some sort of special, neutral-site season opener; this is a regular UCLA home game, and not even their first one of the year (they play Hawaii in the Rose Bowl the week before). Are they going to move that game to Las Vegas? What about the one on September 18th against Fresno State? If you were a UCLA season ticket holder (and they are selling season tickets with Rose Bowl seat assignments right now), wouldn't you be outraged if they just randomly moved their marquee non-conference home game out of state?

The Dodgers and Angels are currently playing home games in front of thousands of fans every night, and I have not heard any rumblings that that might change. If UCLA is going to start moving home games at the last minute (and we are currently only a month out from this one), what about the Chargers, the Rams, USC, etc.? Materially changing the arrangements for this game at this juncture would be a clusterf*ck of epic proportions--which I would not ENTIRELY put beyond Gavin Newsom and the California public health bureaucracy, but I do think the looming recall helps.

Nevada is one of only two states in the entire country with covid mandates (Louisiana is the other)

Why would it move to that state?

8 of us staying in the Redondo/Manhattan Bch, block from beach. We’ll be there for 5 day, great area. But it will be an hour+ drive to Pasadena depending on traffic.

LAX and Rose Bowl are about an hour a part in mild traffic. If you can stay in Pasadena or Glendale it’s a good area. Downtown is about 30 minutes no traffic but nothing to do there. Hope this helps

You can pitch a tent right beside all the people living on the street. I’m sure they don’t mind.

So, if you stay in Beverly Hills, do you rent a car to drive to pasadena or take a shuttle?

There have been a couple of posts over the last few months saying not to drive and park at the Rose Bowl because of the bad traffic leaving the game. Apparently you can take a train from Union Station to the Rose Bowl.

Check out this thread.

Even though there were nearly 57,000 people at the Dodgers-Astros game last night. That happens to be the largest crowd in MLB all season. Must have been played in another state in front of a green screen. Funny, it looked just like Dodger Stadium.
