I’m not arguing people with antibodies are less likely to contract Covid. I simply want to know what’s in the vaccine that wasn’t in the actual covid virus me and my family contracted in January? What magic ingredient is in the lab jab that will better insulate this strain from infecting me? What people being infected currently had good old fashion covid late last year or early this year? How are they faring against this variant? Surely we have enough of that data to make an educated guess?

No, they don't have the data. What they would probably have to do is work with some type of methodology, but I am suspect they can do that at this point.

They're never going to be able to prove the vaccine(s) work in any meaningful way.... they'll just keep ignoring the elephant in the room.

When we got covid, we were all called by health department here and gave a laundry list of people we were in contact with. Where did that data go if they don’t have it?

How do you people keep saying the vaccineisn’t effective and that vaccinated people are “superspreaders?”

Are all the stats just a made up Q conspiracy theory?

I’m not in favor of forced vaccines, mask mandates or lockdowns, but I don’t get your reasoning for your way of thinking. You are willing to swallow a fake uncredentialed vet from India’s stockpile of ivermectin and other experimental treatments, but a vaccine is a nonstarter.

Everyone has had ample time to get the vaccine who wants it. So keep everything open IMO. If there aren’t enough resources, so be it. Everyone has a choice.
Nothing more ironic than a person who signed up to be a test subject and inject an unproven substance into their body then turning around and insulting others who won’t.
Can you point out the "irony" you're referencing? or the "insults"?

Well yea, that’s how vaccines work.

Look, of course the vaccine works overall and it’s the best weapon there is against this virus. My concern lies in the long-term residuals of the vaccine that nobody knows about yet. Is it a gamble? Damn right it is! But at this point it’s really the best weapon we have.

your post doesn’t help your cause . Does anyone actually say the vaccine keeps you from getting Covid ? To many people with the vaccine have got Covid to keep that lie going . By the end of the year they will say you need a new vaccine for the variant .

The larger question is why are you so interested in whether I get the vaccine or not. Have you noticed the only people that ask about your vaccine status are the vaccinated that reel they have a right to know all of your business, or the vaccinated that feel stupid about doing so and are trying to make themselves feel better by getting others to walk down that road.

Take it for what it’s worth, but Dr. Catherine O’Neal said that you have NO immunity from your prior infection.

My ER doctor told me that the Covid unit was FULL of reinfected patients

In short, at least according to what they seem to be preaching. You and your family should all be dead by the end of August.

Honestly, if I didn’t have Covid already, then I would be getting the vaccine.

Yep. The CDC putting out its own report a couple of months ago saying that 50% of the people who got the smallpox vaccine back in the 50s and 60s were susceptible to getting cancer tells me all I need to know. That was 60 years ago and we're just now hearing about it? Damn.

Because of the mutation rate inherent to the virus itself. It's why herd immunity for RNA viruses (and indeed nearly all infectious diseases) has not developed naturally, because antibody response is antigen specific, and human populations are never in equilibrium.
